    Massive rallies a turning point?

I maintain that even if our Federal Government had made a half hearted but visible effort at workplace raids and deportations it would have shown the illegal alien population who was in charge. After all we know that every time they did conduct a rare workplace raid in the past, the people scattered like flies in fear of being caught, or would keep their kids home from school etc.

If they had conducted themselves in this manner, we probably wouldn't have seen illegal immigration get to the levels it has as there would have been a continuous element of fear that would have influenced some people not to come.

Now we've enabled these people to populate our country in such great numbers that I'm afraid they may have the upper hand. Why were there no arrests during these massive rallies? They feared it would turn into a riot if they made arrests so they had a hand's off policy.

Now they are so bold and last weekends events have given them the confidence that any type of enforcement will probably bring them out in force.

Our Fedral Government has cut off it's own nose to spite it's face!

Our Fedral Government has cut off it's own nose to spite it's face!
It's also cut off some of our noses with it.

Oh yeah, they're marching in the streets screaming and yelling about their rights for sure. If demoralizing us was what they had in mind, it worked. But that's mostly the effect of the surprise that was delivered.

We already knew what their numbers were...we already knew we were being lied to. We already knew that our LEO's were going to do nothing to enforce the law. We already knew that we couldn't go out on the streets and confront them or try to outdo them. Americans don't handle their political affairs in that manner. We never have other than a few protests at colleges during the Viet Nam era...

We already knew that our politicians almost to the man were sell outs.

So what's the big surprise? We're STILL going to vote their butts out this November and also in '08. We're STILL going to push for the impeachment of G. Bush. We're STILL going to win this thing because we have NO OTHER choice. White flight has just about run out of room to flee...they're here from coast to coast and border to border, thanks to our presidents and our congresspersons. We can Change That...We can give them the biggest shocks they've EVER had. We can VOTE in the constitution party. We can join the organization of the MinuteMen...they need us and we need them. If push comes to shove their communications efforts and numbers will be a bulwark against some of the violence we can all see coming at us.

Surely the violence to come is not going to be a surprise either is it???

Hell, they are not scared of La Migra, it does not exist anymore, it seems I started this fight back in 2001 when I started a petition to close our borders, right after 9/11. I got alot of signatures but I don't believe people saw just how "out of hand" the situation was already back then. They hid in the shadows UNTIL they got enough of them here to make a mass roundup, by ICE, at the protests IMPOSSIBLE! This was all planned just like the Mexicans said, they are taking this country with sheer numbers!
These protesters brought their CHILDREN with them! Were those children just shields for the adults or were they brought along to make people change their minds about illegal immigration? The potential for violence was there, I think the protester who brought their kids along should be charged with child endangerment!

I actually like that the other side having such massive street demonstrations. They are mostly illegal aliens and those who are living here legally are composed of green card holders. There is going to be a resulting backlash on the part of citizens. I only wish that they held more of them since they are a great focus and recruitment opportunity. I would like to pass along to the others here a suggestion. Get out there on their fringes near the media and the police and carry a sign refering the average person in the street to NumbersUSA.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Now that they've tasted blood, here's what their mouthpieces are saying in the local news.

    Published: 03.30.2006

    Migrant voices finally being heard
As our nation's leaders work to fix our broken immigration system, they are hearing from Latino constituents around the country.
Nearly a million people have marched at immigration rallies in several cities, including one earlier this month in Washington, D.C., while many others have called, written to, or visited their representatives and senators.
Finally, the voices of the immigrant community have overtaken the presence of the Minutemen, right-wing radio show hosts and other sources that portray one perspective on the debate yet receive a disproportionate share of the media attention.
I, too, have just returned from Washington, D.C., where I represented Chicanos Por La Causa and 312 sister organizations that make up the affiliate base for the National Council of La Raza. Council affiliate organizations advocate for and provide services to Latino families all across the United States. I joined nearly 300 representatives from Latino community organizations who participated in the council's National Advocacy Day and held more than 200 meetings with members of Congress and their staff.
During meetings with members of Congress, the Latino community representatives urged them to support comprehensive immigration reform rather than the quick-fix shortcuts they have been considering. Proposals that focus only on enforcement provisions — including building a wall on our Southern border, criminalizing those who provide humanitarian aid to all entrants, and removing birthright citizenship from the Constitution — are a deep betrayal of American values.
These are people who appreciate freedom because they have lived with the fear and personal restrictions imposed by oppressive economic conditions or repressive governments. They value the opportunity to work hard and provide for their families because they have experienced the hopelessness and dread of being unemployed and hungry. They have a deep faith that education will improve their children's future because they have recognized in their own lives that so much is off-limits to anyone who cannot read or lacks a college degree.
We should be proud in Arizona that Sen. John McCain and congressmen Jim Kolbe and Jeff Flake have proposed legislation, along with Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy, that offers smarter enforcement provisions and upholds family values and the entrepreneurial spirit of our country. Many provisions of this bill were included in the bill passed by the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday.
If it becomes law, this new bill would eliminate family backlogs in the system and create a path for immigrants currently living and working in the United States to earn legal status, as well as provide new legal channels for foreign workers.
I'm grateful to the Senate Judiciary Committee for doing the hard work of approving a comprehensive solution that addresses the underlying causes of undocumented immigration. I urge Sen. Jon Kyl to listen to his colleagues and support this solution.
Members of Congress must recognize that today's immigrants already live by the values that keep America strong and acknowledge that our country would do well to continue building upon its immigrant heritage.

What we see going on is what many of us have predicted for a long time and where told we were alarmist and nut cases.

This is how I see it:

Children walk out of schools en masse. School takes no action, police take no action

Children march on city streets & highways, shutting them down. No police action taken

Thousands of illegal aliens march in our streets shutting them down & creating havoc. Police take no action & cannot even be found

Patriots attacked at a minuteman bank protest. Police sitting roughly a block away, have to be told what's happening & finally come over but aren't to interested.

Goons and thugs lower the American Flag in our Public Schools and Fly the Foreign Flag of another nation, Mexico

Tyson Foods and Cargill meat packers openly hire Illegal Aliens which is Reported to ICE..nothing is done.

United States Senators call pending Amnesty Legislation Tough Enforcement

The MSM media airbrushes Mexican flags from its photos and refuses to report violence in our streets

70-80% of the American Public demand our laws are Enforced and the US Senate instead intends to pass Amnesty

    Definition of anarchy:
    1. Absence of any form of political authority.
    2. Political disorder and confusion.
    3. Absence of any cohesive principle, such as a common standard or purpose.
Is this Mexico or the USA

Those that laughed at me when I said that we were going to be invaded are not laughing now. Now they wish they had listened.

Richard, you wouldn't think it was quite so amusing if you lived in a city where there are more of them than there are Americans and they are just getting cranked up.

I have to say for El Paso that we at least do have POLICE, unlike Charlotte, though. And our police got to dog hundreds of school-skippers today who were parading around making gang signs for the cameras and chanting something unintelligible to me.

This is the second day in a row and more plan on similar horse hockey tomorrow. I am not going to work because I refuse to be caught up in the middle of the mayhem. I work for the school system.

I feel that those gang-signing teens who don't have any idea what they are protesting are a whole lot more dangerous than I am, an old lady writing letters to congressmen. But I'm still banking on the idea that my letters will carry more weight than a bunch of whining teen agers, half of whom are illegal aliens who don't belong in our schools to start with!

Further, if they start messing with the flag in this military town where a whole lot of retired military people live, they are likely to find out whose country this really is but it won't be a pretty lesson.
