Maybe We Should Pressure Chertoff to Enforce the Laws

He did say on Thursday that he would, after the cloture vote. I think the logical person we would normally want to pressure under normal conditions would be Gonzales.....but that's about as likely as thinking that it's going to snow on the 4th of July.

However, we could attempt to pressure Chertoff. You never know, maybe, just maybe he has heard the people and might become willing to have a little backbone for a change.

(It;s probably wishful thinking, but we can't just sit here now and let President Bush get away with neglecting the fact that we do have laws and the American people are demanding that they be enforced.)

Chertoff is going to be told by the President to "Stay the course... Yer doin' a good job, Cherty."

In other words, he's going to be told to keep doing NOTHING. If you don't believe me, notice that we've only got six inches of fence built so far.

Chertoff is the man to pressure. He is responsible both for US Border Patrol and ICE and they are the agencies with this burden. We also need to pressure the Governors of the Borders States to activate their National Guards and get them ON the borders not 100 miles inland when Bush put the 6000 he assigned there on a Con Game.

Gonzales is worthless and just needs to be .. fired.

At least that's how I see it.

Please forgive me, I'm still relatively new around here, so I don't know if your post was tongue-in-cheek or serious ... but(if I may?) ... just for the record he has been in the job since Feb. 15, 2005 ...

I have as much patience as the next guy, but I'm not Job.

Somehow, I'm not so sure. I think he's probably pretty fed up with being told, "Yer doin' a good job, Cherty".

I think that if we respectfully (as hard as that might be) apply a lot of pressure that he is either going to resign, which I'm sure President Bush would not want for him to do or stand up to President Bush.

Can't quite imagine Michael Chertoff standing up to President Bush. Just the thought of it makes me chuckle......but....I suppose things even more strange than that have happened in the world.

Right now, the American people have somewhere in between zero faith and just a very small glimmer of faith.

I don't know, right now I feel that if we go with the zero faith that it leaves us zero options.

I'd rather have a little something to at least try to do something with.

This is from an old post from last year when Miss Julie took over ICE. I don't know if there may be changes in the numbers. You know, it sure wouldn't hurt to give these offices a call and insist on enforcement. You have all shown yourselves to be masters of the TELEPHONE CAMPAIGN. While you are on a roll...what would a few more calls cost?

NOTE:Remember the lady who runs this Office is the one responsible for some stepped up raids in her area of responsibility.

https://www.alipac.us/ftopict-18158-.html This is a story about 56 illegals arrested in MO - a good enforcement story. Her name is Ellisa Brown

Reich Installation Services has been associated with at least two other U.S. sites where illegal aliens have been arrested within the last year,? said Elissa Brown, ICE special agent-in-charge of the Chicago office. ?Employers must get the message that hiring illegal aliens is against the law. ICE will especially scrutinize those employers who are repeatedly identified in these operations.? Brown oversees the ICE Office of Investigations for a six-state area, including: Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky and Wisconsi

Anyway, I think she would be the most open to HELP PUT A DAMPER ON THIS MOB ACTION BY ILLEGALS. The march from LA to DC would go through Kansas, Missouri and or Kentucky, wouldnt it?

It sounds good to go after Chertoff, but I don't think it would help much. He works for the President and is not an elected official. The one we need to go after is Bush. He's the one who gives Mikey his orders. Lets fill Bush's mailbox and phone lines and give him a taste of what the Senators got and see if we can make him holler uncle.
