This presents another opportunity for us to hammer McCain and his support for amnesty otherwise known as a path to citizenship for those here illegally.

Shouldn't we call and e-mail his campaign en masse to let him know that he is like the incumbents losing because they all supported amnesty too? Also, he voted for TARP. Seems like this is a good counter press release opportunity to point this out in the media.

My instinct at this time is that we are going to have to do more to support Hayworth and tear down McCain or we will live to regret not acting in a more focused and determined manner. It just does not seem like there is much being done. All these other things we talk and e-mail about are interesting and a great way to vent steam but ultimately, in my best judgment, there is nothing that would be more beneficial to the anti-illegal immigration/amnesty effort than defeating Mr. Amnesty John McCain and replacing him with J.D. Hayworth.

Personally, I would not care if ALIPAC did nothing but work to support this campaign and shut down everything including the message boards except for use to promote Hayworth and defeat McCain. This is a six year sentance about to be handed down. If we don't get it done now I for one don't want to ever hear another whining word about McCain and whatever he does. It is now or never regarding him.

Does anyone here participate in the Hayworth campaign? Besides sending money to the campaign what can we do if we live in AZ and what can we do if we live outside of AZ?

McCain: I'm Different From Senators Who Lost
Friday, 21 May 2010 09:12 PM

Arizona Sen. John McCain says primary voters sent a clear message this week that they're angry and frustrated.

The Republican is seeking his fifth term in the U.S. Senate and on Friday downplayed comparisons of his tough re-election battle to the campaigns of other longtime senators who recently lost their primaries.

He says the senators who lost were all defenders of earmarks — special federal funding set aside for specific, home-state projects.

McCain has long opposed earmarks, calling the process "pork-barrel" spending that leads to corruption.

McCain spoke after turning in petition signatures to qualify for the ballot.
Former conservative talk-radio host J.D. Hayworth, who also served in the U.S. House, is challenging McCain in the Aug. 24 primary.

McCain Hires New Campaign Manager After Shake-Up
Friday, 21 May 2010 07:16 PM

Arizona Sen. John McCain has hired his former Senate chief of staff to be the new manager of his campaign.

The campaign announced Friday that Mark Buse would take over its top job.
McCain shook up his campaign last week, moving two senior operatives to an outside fundraising committee. Campaign spokesman Brian Rogers says neither was fired.

McCain is facing the toughest re-election battle of his Senate career and fending off a GOP primary challenge from former U.S. Rep. J.D. Hayworth.
Buse is an Arizona native who first worked for McCain as an intern in the 1980s when McCain was in the U.S. House.
