I tried to find the thread where the American Legion was mentioned, search didn't even find it.

I wanted everyone to see the email I rec'd from the A.L. today..........

Thank you for contacting The American Legion National Commander Paul A. Morin concerning The American Legion's official position on Illegal Immigration. The National Commander is on extended travel, but has asked me to respond to your email.

A copy of the publication was delivered to every congressional office and we have received a great deal of feedback. In fact, The American Legion was asked to present testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on this very issue.

A copy was also provided to the White House.

Thank you for sharing your views and comments. Please contact both of your senators and your representative as the voice of constituents carry a great deal of influence.

Of course, we realize they are NOT interested in a better plan. They are only interested in pandering to big business and special interest groups. If the average citizen realized the level of deception incorporated into this bill, there would be an outcry loud enough to be heard around the world.

They have made a huge mistake by insulting the intelligence of American citizens. We are not stupid, and we will not sit idly by while they dismantle our great country.

You want a better plan? How 'bout enforcing existing immigration laws and building a 2000+ mile fence.
