McConnell: Not Using Federal Funds to Investigate Voter Fraud

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Sunday put the kibosh on using taxpayers' money to investigate President Donald Trump's claim of voter fraud in the presidential election.

In an interview on CNN's "State of the Union," the Kentucky Republican said he believes there likely is voter fraud, though not as widespread as Trump has suggested.

"The Democrats always say there is no election fraud at all, that is of course not true," McConnell said. "Election fraud does occur."

"There is no evidence it occurred in such a significant number that would have changed the presidential election. And I don't think we ought to spend any federal money investigating that."

"I think the states can take a look at this issue," he added. "Many of them have tried to tighten their voter rolls, tried to purge people who are dead."

Trump announced last month he'd ask for "a major investigation" into voter fraud, including a review of people who are registered to vote in two states and people who are deceased but still on voter rolls.

He will use federal funds for illegals though - retire mcConnell, you are bucking the system - you aren't the president, Trump was elected, you just have your cronies in your state voting for you every election, maybe you are involved with voter fraud. Noticed you are against limiting terms too for politicians.
