McConnell promises to back Trump
By Susan Ferrechio • 5/4/16 8:22 PM
Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, issued a tepid endorsement of Donald Trump Wednesday, a day after the real estate mogul became the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.
"I have committed to supporting the nominee chosen by Republican voters, and Donald Trump, the presumptive nominee, is now on the verge of clinching that nomination," McConnell said in a statement Wednesday evening. "Republicans are committed to preventing what would be a third term of Barack Obama and restoring economic and national security after eight years of a Democrat in the White House. As the presumptive nominee, he now has the opportunity and the obligation to unite our party around our goals."
McConnell has been privately critical of Trump and has publicly denounced some of Trump's proposals, including one that would ban new Muslim entrants into the United States. McConnell also privately told GOP senators they'd drop Trump like "a hot rock" in order to protect vulnerable Senate seats that might be jeopardized by Trump at the top of the ticket.

That's great that McConnell is going to support Trump! Thank you Mitch McConnell.
Everyone in Congress needs to adjust to the movement. Americans are taking their country back from the ravages of massive immigration, legal and illegal, and free trade treason.
Every member of Congress needs to understand Americans will no longer tolerate candidates or members of Congress who want to openly or behind our backs support the interests of foreign nationals and foreign interests at the expense of the American People.
Donald Trump will not "surrender the United States to the false song of globalism."
We support strong international relations and international trade as we always have. But that is very different than open borders, free trade treason and globalism. If other countries want to engage in those types of activities, then have at it. Americans have been pulled down that road against our will, and it did not work for US at all on any level. I truly believe the people of the world understand this. They know we are a third world debtor nation at this point and must fight for our own survival. They will do no less for their own countries, so while the leaders of the world may not get it yet, the people of those nations do.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan

Why would McConnell criticize Trump over his ban on Muslim immigration to protect Americans until we know what is going on? Seems strange to me. Why not support the ban and keep Americans safe? Besides, we don't need any more immigrants of any type from anywhere of any religion anyway. What we need is a 10 to 20 year ban on all immigration.
