Meet my congressman, The Honorable Brad Miller
"A group of students from UNC-Chapel Hill manned a booth and sought to register voters. Many people were turned away because they are not legal citizens or are not yet 18."
"Closer to Raleigh, U.S. Rep. Brad Miller, a Raleigh Democrat and incumbent in the 13th District, is scheduled to be at the festival today and has advocated building a border wall, as well as establishing a way for undocumented workers already here to become citizens."

"build a border wall as well as establishing a way for undocumented workes already here to become citizens."
Ooops!!
Wrong answer, eh?
Should have stopped with "build a border wall".
Unless of course he meant by "way".... sending them all the "way" back home to their country of origin so they can get in line and wait their turn...legally.

In brief remarks at an opening ceremony, Price, a Democrat from Chapel Hill, boasted that he hasn't missed any of the 13 festivals sponsored by El Pueblo, an advocacy organization for Latinos.
But applause was loudest when Price said he supports a "rational and balanced" immigration policy in the U.S.
Price said part of such a policy would be allowing illegal immigrants who are here now and contributing to society to have a path toward citizenship.
"We have to build up the numbers," said Laura Lopez, 19, who came to Raleigh from Mexico in 1999 and was encouraging people to register. "When we advocate for something, the politicians will just throw it back at us -- that we don't vote. We need more Hispanic voters."
Wonder if she's legal.

Ditto on David Price.
Price's opponent, Republican Steve Acuff, is not scheduled to attend."The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" ** Edmund Burke**

Do we have any attorneys in alipac? Isn't attempting to register
to vote when you're not a citizen a felony? I just couldn't believe the
News & Obfuscator.

I agree that both Brad Miller and David Price are losers. Cannot believe that for a long time I voted for both (in the NC Legislature as well as Senate) because I voted a mostly straight Dem ticket. No more. Miller is my rep now in congress but I've contacted both congress critters numerous times since joining ALIPAC and becoming aware of the issues around border security and illegal aliens. Adios, Miller and Price as well as Etheridge, another NC Dem, who seems to care more about illegal aliens than US citizens.

Update on this: I called Wake County BoE this morning. They
said it was not a problem if someone inquires about registration
but the first question is: are you a US citizen? If you check yes
& continue, an illegal is commiting (another?) felony. In NC, you need
either a NCDL or last four digits of your social. If you give your
social, it is checked against the SS DB for first/middle/last name
& DoB. The NCDL is a joke: you can get it with an apartment lease
& some other piece of documentation. Perhaps we should start
agitating for the social to be put on voter rolls so cross checks
can be done.
Bottom line is, I expect some voter fraud in our near future.
The stakes are high.
Ms Annie, the carrot is ok, but a smoke would be better. I quit,
but this illegal thing is about to knock me off the wagon.
I, too, am ashamed I voted for Miller & Price. I've had to eat
a lot of crow served up cold from my conservative homies. I
suppose it's helps the character to grow. Brad Miller's campaign
called me about a sign in the yard & I told his office manager
about my conversion experience on the illegal thing. She got
exasperated with me & said 'you can't just send them all back
home.' I asked her what other laws pertaining to national
security are we going to ignore in a post-9/11 world. I hope
her exasperation stemmed from conversations with other people.
But I see a lot of Miller signs out just outside the Beltline where
I live. I see 2 Vernon Robinson signs. So I don't feel good. People are
still asleep like I was a few months ago. They cannot be sending
their kids to the same middle school as my kids because half the
orientation was in Spanish. You cannot ignore it if you have
kids in school in Wake County.

Aren't they silly, these people who claim "we can't just send them all back home"?
Why not?
They have cars and vans and 2 legs...they can drive, take the bus, take a train a plane or walk out the same way they came in.
They need to gather up their belongings; get packed; get the money and start heaing home because if they don't I swear We will deport them and confiscate all their belongings they purchased with money earned illegally in this country, the same way we confiscate assets of other criminals like drug dealers.
