Are we stepping up pressure to close the anchor baby loophole?

Seems to me the illegals have time on their side. As we 'ponder' many ways of slowing illegal 'immigration' down the babies they are having in the USA are getting older every day and closer to voting age and will get a free pass to our country.

If we put the same spirit and gusto into stopping the ANCHOR BABIES as we did behind stopping the last ill conceived immigration bill we would see success!!

WE can put it into getting that law changed - but it won't affect those here now. We are pretty much stuck with them, but it is way past time to fix that.

The Mexicans are not the only ones using this. I read about 'Chinese vacations' years ago. The Chinese people time their vacation to give birth while they are here. How many others around the world do that do you think? We don't know how many anchor babies we have in this country.

We might could get some of the anchor babies home, though. If we stopped buying the products of the employers of their parents, they would go home.

Despite the stupid talk, they are not going to leave their children here when they return home. They might if that child is an adult, or almost an adult.

If we withhold our monies from their employers, we will have more money in our pockets - the illegals will go home on their own dime - and we won't have the courts clogged with 'anchor baby' cases.

I sure wish we would. During my time spent in the health department, I've never seen so many pregnant hispanic women -- but women from other countries also -- you're right about the Asian women as well.

And NONE of them are married! Whatever happened to all that talk about family honor ...they're all at the health dept. signing up for welfare!

A lot of them would just drop in also, wanting help of some kind or another -- like a free car seat, even though they weren't signed up for the clinic. Thankfully, the nurses would turn them away ..but they'd try to come in and get it w/o being eligible, or have their sister show up to pick it up for them. Total moochers.

The nurses did inform me, though, that the carseats were paid for through speeding ticket fines. Of course, fines imposed on Americans speeding, no doubt ... Oh, but hey, what a great cause ... carseats for illegal alien anchor babies, instead of perhaps, going towards fixing and maintaining the roads, potholes, or something.

Ron Paul has put thru a constitutional amendment for this. Forget the name, but it actually modifies the constitution which makes it very difficult to overturn once in place. The other bills can be overturned anytime someone comes up with another bill to override it.

~500,000 anchor babies a year.. can you believe that? I was at the park yesterday with my daughter .. I saw 2,3,4 year olds playing, i didn't hear a lick of english from them or their mothers... all illegals using cell phones talking in spanish as their children played and talked in spanish... what a travesty...
