Thread: MEX President Calderon visits Tijuana Border.

Mexican media is reporting that Mexican President Felipe Calderon is in Tijuana and at 11:00 a.m. (local time) he took a tour at the border where deported Mexicans are turned over to Mexican authorities. At that location, Elvira Arellano and other open-border activists gave the Mexican President a signed letter asking him to take action and lobby more strongly for immigration reform in the United States.

Knowing how Calderon likes to pander, I expect him to add fuel to the fire by talking tough.

Elvira, get a clue - you're not going to come back for a long, long time unless you do it illegally because you are a criminal. If you do try, your mug shot is a household "most wanted" item .. Go ahead and try to break our laws again. I'm sure your son will be proud of seeing his mother incarcerated for a long, long time.

They would be better served presenting a signed letter to Calderon demanding change in Mexico. I simply will never understand this mentality. The U.S. is NOT responsible for Mexico or its citizenry. Take care of your own people, Calderon! You don't see us begging other countries to take our undesirables.

It's a travesty - but I'd say the Mexican Presidents have been very effective in influencing our politicians.

That was true in the past, when most Americans were not aware of the sheer numbers of illegal aliens, and that most of them are mexican.

It is still the politicians that are making the decisions.

How long has it been since the amnesty bill was defeated, and really what has this government done - despite knowing what the people are demanding. People are demanding it in large numbers and in loud words.

We have 'use e-verify' - wait the courts stopped that.

We have 'build a fence' - wait no funding - wait no studies - wait the fence isn't even designed - according to the article posted on here recently.

We have raided business that hire 12 - 23 - 25 people - don't know if they have been deported or not.

The only real action has been on a state of local level - our federal government is working against us in every way possible.

Calderon needs to CLEAN up his OWN country INSTEAD of TRAIPSING along OUR border in SECRET hopes of GRABBING OUR territory!

Amen to that!

Why hasn't someone asked him when he is trying to tell us how to run a country, why his country is in such a mess and why his people have to leave????
