DailyKos removes article: "(Rep Giffords) Dead To Me&qu
The Daily Kos recently published an article entitled: "My Congresswoman Voted Against Nancy Pelosi, And is Now Dead To Me". Guess who the congresswoman is? -- Gabrielle Giffords.
Daily Kos has now removed it. If you Google it, it will come up on the list from several different sources, but you can no longer find it at Daily Kos.
Does this mean Daily Kos is to blame for the shooting?
Maybe we should ask Pima County, Ariz., Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, who ranted about all the vitriol and hate that caused the shooting.

Then that same Daily Kos has the gall to publish this after the shooting:
Sarah Palin's Culpability in Attempted Assassination of Giffords
by BJ Rudell
Sat Jan 08, 2011 at 12:23:13 PM PST
When Sarah Palin unveiled her famous "crosshairs" map of 20 congressional Democratic targets for the 2010 mid-terms, it was no accident. The allusion was not unintentional. She used gun targets on Giffords' and 19 other Democrats' districts in order to ignite her right-wing base into a polarizing frenzy. She could have used any symbol; she chose one that connotes killing.
BJ Rudell's diary :: ::
As I'm writing this, Giffords is in grave condition in a Tucson hospital. And while I'm still trying to make sense of this tragedy, I can't help but think about what Palin did.
Detractors might argue that all's fair in politics, and that of course Palin did not desire for anyone to be shot. They might say that this was just a lunatic, that there's no way to prove this was politically motivated, and that even if it were, the only person to blame is the shooter.
But this is a different world than the days of lone gunmen killing political heroes. We now live in a society where day after day, millions of people are told on T.V. and radio, on the Internet and in newspapers, that their political adversaries are not just "wrong," but "evil." Day after day, the Rush Limbaughs, Sean Hannitys, and Ann Coulters of the world spew hate like it's sport. And the obvious danger is that, with millions of people following their words like they're scripture, we should not be surprised when political opposition leads to political hate, and political hate leads to intent-to-harm.
To thousands and maybe millions of Americans, Democrats personify evil. I read it on other Web sites, listen to it on the occasions when I watch Fox News to hear how "the other half" view the truth. Like Fox News analyst Liz Trotter who three years ago wished for Obama's assassination, these people are not innocent bystanders in the right wing's increasingly dangerous rage. Their words on not expressed in vacuums. They are gleefully fanning hate, calculatingly indoctrinating others, and not-so-subtly suggesting destroying others personally (not merely politically).
Which leaves me thinking about Sarah Palin, and the calculating decision she made to equate political defeat with gun shots. Did she call for assassination? No. But the mysterious packages, the acts of vandalism, the town hall meeting intimidations . . . These are not random acts. With her crosshairs map, Palin gave the right wing all of the pieces, and let them figure it out for themselves.

It seems that these radical spin journalists don't want to miss an opportunity to stir up ther base. Which may be just what happened here.

Very interesting. So Jared may have been angry at Giffords for voting against Pelosi!

Michelle Malkin has both a screenshot of that article as well as several "target" maps put out by both parties.
