Suspected illegal alien charged with rape in Pennsylvania

On Tuesday, Luis Alexi Suarez Perez, 29, appeared in Wilkes-Barre Central Court for a preliminary hearing for allegedly raping a woman in her residence on April 4.

According to court documents, Perez entered the victim’s South Wilkes-Barre home, repeatedly shoved her head against the floor and twice raped her, the whole time threatening to murder her. He allegedly held a knife to the woman’s throat during the ordeal.

Perez is charged with two counts each of rape, aggravated assault and simple assault, and one count each of terroristic threats, burglary and reckless endangerment.

Perez is currently being held in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility and is due back in court on July 29
