Illegal Immigraton Gone Wild In DEnton Texas

I'm new and abashed. Last night at my son's 39th birthday party his stepmother arrived with her niece who had jetted in directly from Dubai. She was hugely 8 months or more pregnant. She announced that she left her other two children behind and broght this one so that she could come to america for his birth so that he could be born a naturalized citizen. I was shocked. She was planning to name him Hadi which is Arabic for "the quiet one" kind of like "the sleeper." After we all went home I called the step mother and asked if the niece was an american citizen and she said no. I told her that it was illegal to enter this country on a visa for the sole purpose of have a baby to gain citizenship. She told me that the customs agents told her it was okay. Help me you guys. Am I going crazy. Is this legal or not????

Join the campaign to end "birthright citizenship." H.R. 1940! This is a terrible loophole in American law that has become a target of many people wishing to garner US benefits for themselves, via a child born in the US.

Hi and welcome. I hope I can answer your question, or maybe someone else can chime in.

Entering the country to give birth is, well, just wrong. It's being practiced by millions of illegal aliens coming in from many countries, mostly Mexico, but also many others -- Asian countries, Islamic, you name it. Our laws have been misinterpreted to say that anyone born on American soil is automatically a U.S. citizen.

If citizenship is what they want, this is a greedy, grubby way to get it. To simply just "drop" a child here to obtain citizenship, instead of standing in line and applying through legal channels, well, it's irreprehensible to many here -- and many of us are fighting to see this law is changed.

Yes, currently, her child will be a citizen. Then she will automatically be able to "claim" aid, enter her child in our schools, be provided free medical care, free everything. It's just a major SPONGING off of the American taxpaying citizen -- and it's what we're fighting against here at ALIPAC.

I feel it's also sad that a mother would take leave of responsibility for her other two children to come here and "get" citizenship for her child. I don't know what goes through these people's minds, really.

We as Americans don't ask for it, and do NOT and should not assume responsibility for such actions.

    That would upset me too.

To my knowledge it is illegal. They should not have let her in. They turn women away at the border for that very reason.

You need to call ICE and report her.

Ask these guys, they should know.

    Information about calling ICE.

Offer to take her to the Irving Immigration Jail.

Gee Marti. Only idea I've got is to volunteer to drive her to the hospital then head real fast for the border.
Welcome. We can use another voice on the misinterpretation of the amendment. We need to turn this mind guerrilla around so the amendment says what American citizens say it does.

When a great country permits itself to be used and abused by the parasites of the world, it is a magnet for this repugnant behavior.

It is called fraud. She told Immigration officials some appropriate legal reason for entering in order to get her visa. Since that wasn't the real reason she is guilty of fraud.

Well.. If anything Parkland doesn't ask questions

I believe it is illegal. Cal ICE and ask them, then report her name and location so they can ensure the child does not get citizenship. The more we stop the better we are. Then tell her if she really loves this country that she should apply to move here legally.

Not that there will be much left in the next 20 years.... but hey it's worth a shot.
