Truckers in 'demonstration' expected on roads Sept. 1

The requirements for the U.S. Department of Transportation's Mexican Truck Demonstration Project have been met, and some 37 Mexican trucking companies have been approved to run their long-haul rigs through the U.S. starting as early as Sept. 1, according to a Mexican government report.

This is going to be bad in so many ways. Please read about this and start calling. Our children and grandchildren are going to be on the roads with these people!
They will end up taking jobs away from American truckers. Another hit from bush. Geez, how much more can he get away with? We're sending them $90 million and troops down there too. WTF is he doing? Merging Mexico and America.

This is going to be a nightmare. Just when our kids are starting back to school and all the buses are on the road. Travel is going to be a big challenge in the future. My husband and I spent the last 10 years travelling the states, dealing in antiques, and the highways are already overcrowded with big rigs. What's it going to be like if this is allowed to happen. Makes me want to stay off the road.

Why arnt the unions and truckers protesting this?They seem to be sitting back and doing nothing.

I hate to say it, but its going to take a really bad accident with kids involved to get the masses angry enough to get it stopped. Like the Newark murders.

The truckers and unions are screaming about this, and Congress also opposes this deal, but this administration, as usual, is not listening.
