Sounds like more pressure on the police to NOT stop minorities.

It not unusual for police officers to document the race, of the person involved in a traffic stop. These numbers are then reviewed by a supervisor, to insure the percentage of minority traffic stops is not unreasonable. It's a good management tool.
For example, if the population of a specific race is 5%, yet an officer's percentage of traffic stops for that race is 45%, he's may be targeting that race.
Of course, the supervisor needs to consider the racial profile of the area being policed. The city or county may have 5% of a specific race, but the patrolman working in an area where that race is 90% of the population is not profiling if his traffic stops, for that race, are only 45%.
We don't need police officer's to racially profile. We need them to perform "criminal profiling" !
As for this new policy in Dallas, with tinted glass in most cars, I doubt police officers know the race of people pulled over. Compiling this information, in a statistical format, will actually defend the police dept. from critics that accuse them of profiling.

It appears to me that it's okay for the open borders, pro amnesty crowd to approve of racial profiling when it suits their purpose. What would happen if a cop was driving by and saw two guys who were obviously Hispanics breaking into a store? Kind of puts this cop between a rock and a hard place because it's apparent he can't say he didn't know they Hispanic, yet if he says he saw that they were, he can be accused of being prejudiced. This is one of the stupidest rules I have ever heard of and it will backfire, guaranteed.

It sounds like they're forcing law enforcement to diversify their traffic citations.
If an officer make 10 arrests and only 3are white and 3 are black and 4 are Hispanic, that officer will be accused of racial profiling.
The true reasons of the citations, seem to irrelevant.------------------------

Make it mandatory that all vehicle windows(new and old) have dark tint or one way vision glass. this way, no Officer can be accused of profiling or targeting a race.
But that would never happen, because it would eliminate their strongest weapon and it would justify more of SB 1070 and in turn, encourage even more states to start initiating new immigration bills......But then again,....All of the foremention would offend illegals and their suppoters, ...and we don't want that, now do we?------------------------
