For all the people who are ignorant and think that illegals help the economy should read this and see that it only helps Western Union and other money transfer businesses.

I don't have to read this to know. A friend of mine owns a business, and one of those illegals from Salvador told her very proudly that he crosses de border every year with no problem at all, that he goes to his country and starts the construccion of a new house, and his brothers build the houses, he has 5 houses. I personally know a woman who came here illegally with three children and her husband, oh boy, these ones are really smart, she was a teacher in her country, and she works here as a teacher in a private school. Her husband died last year, he was 44, he had an insurance for $150K and an apartment worth $300K where they live here. This woman managed to get social security for her younger son who is 13, the husband only worked in this country as an illegal 10 years.(wonder why they tell us our social security is in bad situation?) With the $150K she received from the life insurance, she bought an apartment building in her country. She decided to go to the hospital for a general check up, they did all kind of things, cat-scan, etc. and then she got a bill for $8,000.00. She went to the hospital to cry that she was a widow, she has just lost her husband, and blablabla, she got away paying 0. This woman has a salary, and the husband left a reclyning small business, and his partner gives her out of that business $700.00 and more every week cash, now she got more ambitious and she is saying she will be buying another building.

Money that would have otherwise been made by an American worker. You always hear that the unemployment rate is what? 4.7% This is misleading. Some people put unemployment at around 12%. The reasons. Well lets start with the way the goverment reports unemployment. They have to have applied and gotten unemployement benefits. You only collect for 26 weeks. After that you are on your own. And you are not counted any longer.

Then you have the part time workers, that want to find full time work but cant. Then you have the people that quit their jobs for whatever reason that are not counted. Then you have the prison population that is not counted. There was more but I cant remember where I put the article that I read. The economy is not as strong as the goverment is making it out to be. And our citizens are not as secure as they should be. And with the influx of illegals that have invaded our country thier are less resources for American citizens.

I truly believe that the goverment is doing a very lousy job, SOMETHING needs to change.

You're 100% right. The ones that can really tell how the economy is, is the middle class who is suffering.

I know a woman who is a citizen for generations, she went to apply for a job cleaning offices in Manhattan to an employment office, they told her that she should take with her a passport, birth certificate, or citizenship, social security, and driver's license. She took all of that except the citizenship certificate, when she was there most of the people applying only had a social security. Then they told her that the job was for 2 month, and they will take from her pay checks weekly $57.00 for union fees. Then she asked if there was a possibility that she was place in the job permanent, they told her a BIG NO, that everything was taking, and this job was to fill in for those who went on vacation. Then she found out that there are no openings for permanent positions because they are taking by illegals, and they don't leave those jobs. It pays $19.00 an hour, and benefits, because they are union jobs.

Are these the jobs that Americans don't want to do? This is a big lie, and unions are protecting the illegals. THIS IS THE SITUATION.

I think most of us know people like that. This is the scary part. I know an illegal person who took care of a corporate CEOs sick mother for $700 a week cash. The woman was a live in employee and therefore did not need to purchase much for herself. She also sent the most of the money back to Eastern Europe to her adult children. In the end she learned her lesson as the money she sent her son was used to open an athletic goods store. She even sent him clothing and running shoes from here. Once people heard about it, he was beaten and robbed on numerous occassions She sent him money to come here and I informed ICE to make sure it didn't happen. He was denied entry into the country.

You would not even believe how many stores in my town have the signs in the window about sending money to Mexico. The signs are always large, too brightly colored -ugh....

It is definitely a ugly sight. We have similar places that cater to Central Americans as well. Thank goodness I don't have to drive near there.
