Dear President Obama,
I have never been so worried in my life as I am since your comments about comprehensive immigration reform. There are too many jobless Americans in need worried about how they will feed their families, while we have a seemingly unstoppable flow of illegals to take jobs, live 20 or 30 to a single-family house (sleeping in shifts) and shipping remittances to their home countries, rather than spending the money here, putting Americans to work.
If I am not mistaken, it was your predecessor who signed an executive order that American companies no longer need to seek citizens of this country before asking for H1-B visas. This is absolutely unfair to those who took out student loans with hopes of a great career, are now in debt and are seeing their prospects destroyed by visa holders.
All this has to stop, as the consumer nation of the world cannot consume due to unemployment of its citizens. It doesn't matter if these people are here on visas or here illegal, the net outcome is that increased competition for a limited amount of jobs will favor those willing to work for less from out of the country. Add that to the jobs and technology continually being sent overseas for cheaper labor and the squeeze on citizens becomes even greater.
Sincerely, and with great worry,
XXXXX
