Thread: Miller Brewing response to online comments

The below is from an email I just now received from Miller Brewing regarding my online message regarding support of Chicago area protest march:

"Thanks for contacting us.

Miller Brewing Company does not support illegal immigration or any other
unlawful act. We do support a public policy discussion that will lead to a
clear path to legal naturalization for people who meet the requirements for
U.S. citizenship. We also oppose any legislation that would unfairly and
unjustly seek to constrain immigration.

Miller was founded 151 years ago by a German immigrant, Frederick Miller.
And today, we are part of an international company with employees from
around the world. We support the free movement of people, labor, goods and services in the global economy with appropriate protections for the rights of individuals and families, the security of nations, and the diversity that contributes to a rich and productive society.

Miller is active in helping immigrants learn how to become legally
naturalized citizens of the U.S., through programs like the Miller Lite
Immigration Forum in Texas and support for a recent immigration convention in Chicago. We have a long history of proudly supporting many national and local Latino organizations throughout the U.S.

While Miller has certainly supported the efforts of Latino community groups
in Chicago to be heard on this important public policy issue, we are not an
official sponsor of the march scheduled to take place this weekend in
Chicago. We are not sponsoring this march and we did not authorize the use of our trademarks in associaton with this event. We do support reform of immigration law but we do not support illegal immigration.

This is exactly what I was told Friday when I called them. He said, they donated $30,000 for the convention that was held a few weeks ago to help them become legal. All the while saying they do not support illegal immigration. Crazy!!!!!

What a load! How can you sponser immigration workshops in Texas
& Ill .... were the folks here on tourist visas? How stupid do these
guys think we are? I may have to sell my Altria stock after some
research.

Miller I think you have us confused with somebody else. You may be able to talk that crap elsewhere but we will work hard to bring you to your knees. It will become a full time job if it has to. We will focus exclusively on Miller Brewing!

it's not spin. They advocate the free movement of people and goods which means they are for open borders and ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.. they contradict themselves.... nope no miller for me.
