A Most Scandalous Administration – Part 1

President Obama and his administration are quite possibly the worst, most corrupt, scandalous and unconstitutional administration in our nation’s history. What follows is part of a series listing just some of the scandalous actions committed by the President and various people throughout his administration. Some of these actions are downright criminal, and deserve a thorough investigation, possibly followed by indictments, arrests, trials and convictions. Other actions are merely rude, crude and unacceptable to the people, and deserve resignations and, at the very least, an apology. We are fully aware of and recognize the corruption and scandalous behavior of previous administrations, and some of the following actions may have even started under previous administrations. That being said, if President Obama was as honorable and transparent as he claimed to be when first campaigning for office, then he would have swiftly put an end to such actions, publicly come clean to the American people, while guaranteeing to us that such things would never happen again. We are not holding our breath.

Benghazi

On September 11, 2012, a terrorist group attacked the American Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, died during the attack. No help was sent during the 8+ hour assault, despite the fact that naval units were in the Mediterranean Sea, air units were scattered about the region, and special-forces units specifically designed for such situations were mere hours away. They were all ordered to stand down. Generals, Admirals and other officers who attempted to send help on their own initiative were relieved of command. President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blamed the attack on protests resulting from a little-seen YouTube video that was critical of the Islamic religion. Despite several Congressional committee investigations and inquiries into the events of that night, much is still uncertain due to the fact that the administration has stonewalled every attempt. None of the survivors of the attack have spoken out about what happened, because they all seem to have signed non-disclosure agreements, been threatened or harassed, or just plain disappeared.

Extortion 17

On August 6, 2011, a CH-47 Chinook helicopter was shot down over a remote valley in Afghanistan. The resulting crash claimed 38 lives, including 30 Americans, 22 of which were members of Naval SEAL Team 6. Most SEAL teams operate in anonymity, but Americans were aware of the existence of Team 6 following the much-publicized May 2011 raid on Osama Bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan. In the months after the raid, both President Obama and Vice President Biden put a spotlight on Team 6, relishing in the victory and the surge in poll numbers and popular opinion. On that fateful night in August, Team 6 was loaded on the Chinook and rushed to the aid of a Ranger unit pinned down by enemy fire. There are allegations of a last minute change in the Afghan commandos who were accompanying the SEALS. Some believe the team may have been set up, as revenge for the Bin Laden raid, and the insurgents tipped off to their mission. For some reason, no escort aircraft were sent with the slow moving and unarmed chopper, and no other aircraft pre-cleared their flight path of enemy personnel. As such, insurgents with anti-aircraft rockets were able to shoot down the Chinook. According to the official government investigation, the “black box” of the aircraft was washed away in a flash flood after the crash, preventing anyone from knowing exactly what happened. The government claims all the bodies were badly burned, despite the alleged presence of photos of the bodies at the crash site, and subsequently cremated all the bodies without seeking permission from family members beforehand. Inquiries by the families into what really happened to their sons have been stonewalled and met with silence. A Congressional committee is finally seeking to open an investigation into the events of that night.

Fast and Furious

Beginning in 2009 and running through 2011, Operation Fast and Furious was an ATF “gunwalking” sting that pressured licensed dealers to allow straw buyers to purchase several thousand guns and illegally transport them across the border for the Mexican Cartels, at the behest of the Justice Department. Only a few hundred of these guns have been recovered by the ATF. Many of those guns have been used by the Cartels to murder and maim hundreds, if not thousands, of Mexican civilians, as well as to shoot several Border Patrol Agents, killing Agent Brian Terry. After Agent Terry’s death, several ATF and DOJ officials came forward as whistleblowers about the operation. Congressional investigations commenced and DOJ head Attorney General Eric Holder was called before committees on several occasions to testify about his knowledge of the operation, which he repeatedly denied knowing about. He has since been proven as a liar and has subsequently been held in contempt of Congress. Any further Congressional inquiry into Fast and Furious has effectively been shut down after President Obama invoked Executive Privilege on all documentation relating to the operation.
