Anders Breivik is a far right-wing extremist
At least six people were shot dead at the Munich Olympia shopping centre when a gunman fired shots in and outside a McDonald’s restaurant at 6pm local time (5am BST) on Friday.
They then escaped into Munich’s U-Bahn - or Metro - system and were thought to have been seen in Stachus Square, three miles away.
Police are looking for three suspects after one was heard shouting: “F*** foreigners.
“I am German.”

Social media users started to question whether the gunmen were right-wing extremists - not Islamic State jihadis as initially thought - after one told eyewitnesses he was born in Germany and grew up on benefits as he fired shots.
They also quickly started to link the incident with the fifth anniversary of the Norway massacre where far right-wing extremist Anders Breivik slaughtered 77 people, including dozens of children and teenagers at a Workers’ Youth League summer camp on the island of Utoya and 11 in Oslo.
Hundreds of Norwegians gathered for a memorial ceremony on the island earlier today to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attack by the neo-Nazi.
The Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and Prime Minister Erna Solberg placed wreaths on a memorial to the 77 killed.

Social media users claimed one of the Munich gunmen was wearing “Nazi” boots.
James Doleman tweeted: “May be a coincidence, but it’s 5 years to the day since the Anders Breivik attacks in Norway.”

Musician Vinne James said: “MUNICH: One more thing of note is the fact that it’s the anniversary of the mass shooting by Anders Breivik.
“May be a right wing action. - VJ.”
Stuart Jones said: “Anniversary of the Anders Breivik massacre in Norway just seems too much of a coincidence. #Munich.”
Breivik is serving a maximum 21 year sentence after he was deemed "not psychotic" during his trial.

Munich shooting: Deadly mall attack suspect identified as teen, found dead
Last updated 13:02, July 23 2016
A gunman suspected of carrying out a terrorist shooting in Munich was an 18-year-old dual national German-Iranian, police say.
At least nine people were killed, and 21 more wounded, when the man opened fired at Munich Olympia Shopping Centre (OEZ) about 5 kilometres northwest of the city centre on Friday (Saturday NZT).
Munich police chief Hubertus Andrae told reporters he was found dead in the area after an extensive manhunt, and that the motive for the crime wasn't known.

He had died from a self-inflicted wound and there were no other suspect, police said.

Andrae said it had not been determined whether the suspected gunman had a German identity card and the investigation was still under way.

Earlier police, citing eyewitness accounts, had said they were looking for up to three suspects in the shooting attack.
Authorities had told the public to get off the streets as the city - Germany's third biggest - went into lockdown with transport halted and highways sealed off.
The city was placed under a state of emergency as police hunted for then-suspected gunmen and special forces deployed in the city.

German radio station Bayerischer Rundfunk said the man had a red backpack similar to one used by a gunman seen at a McDonald's restaurant where the attack reportedly began.
It said police were using a robot to investigate the backpack.
German news magazine Focus said the dead man and suspected gunman had shot himself.

At the height of the incident, people in the Olympia shopping centre either fled or sought to hide.
"Many shots were fired, I can't say how many but it's been a lot," said a shop worker hiding in a store room inside the mall.
WHEN GUNMAN OPENED FIRE
German police in the southern city of Munich say many are dead or wounded after a shooting rampage at a shopping mall. Mana Rabiee reports.
A witness has described the moment the gunman opened fire.
Luan Zequiri said he was at the scene when the shooting broke out near a McDonald's restaurant.
He told the Germany broadcaster NTV that he heard the attacker yell an anti-foreigner slur and "there was a really loud scream."
He said he saw only one attacker, who was wearing boots and a backpack.
Zequiri said "I looked in his direction and he shot two people on the stairs."
He said he hid in a shop, then ran outside when the coast was clear and saw bodies of the dead and wounded on the ground.

Another witness reported the gunman had targeted children in the attack, CNN reported.
"I come out of the toilet and I hear like an alarm, boom, boom, boom... He's killing the children (...) The children were sitting to eat. They can't run," a witness called Lauretta told the news network.
"Many shots were fired, I can't say how many but it's been a lot," said a shop worker hiding in a store room inside the mall.
JOERG KOCH/GETTY IMAGESSpecial police prepare to enter the shopping centre following the shooting attack.
It was the third major act of violence against civilians in Western Europe in eight days.
Previous attacks in France and Germany were claimed by the Islamic State militant group.
A police spokesman said there was no immediate indication that it was an Islamist attack but it was being treated as a terrorist incident.
Friday is also the fifth anniversary of the massacre by Anders Behring Breivik in Norway in which he killed 77 people. Breivik is a hero for far-right militants in Europe and America.
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said the motive for the attack was not yet clear.
"The motives for this abhorrent act have not yet been completely clarified - we still have contradictory clues," Steinmeier said in a statement.

What a shame...a lot of people are in this category, but have not gone berzerk yet. Society is at best reactionary. There is no real intercession or preventative programs to single out and help these wretched souls. The shame of it all is that a whole bunch of innocent people are senselessly murdered and the victims include all of their loved ones who must bear excessive amounts of grief in their souls until they die.

He was a Muslim from Iran. What more do you need to know? Does anyone really expect to be allowed to come to any conclusions based on this simple fact? It does not Sustain the Narrative.
https://www.jihadwatch.org/2016/07/m...iranian-muslim
The suspect was an 18-year-old German-Iranian dual national who lived in Munich, police told a news conference, but his motive is unclear.
In Nice, they are still trying to pass the whole thing off as a "lone wolf" shooter, even when they have a cell phone communication to somebody calling for more ammunition. Lone wolf or not, he was a jihadi, no question about it. In Florida, we had people trying to tell us he was a homophobe, not a jihadi, then he was a homosexual, not a jihadi. Anything but the simple, easily observable truth.Support ALIPAC'sFIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Munich gunman fixated on mass killing, had no Islamist ties
MUNICH | BY JOERN POLTZ AND KARIN STROHECKER
A German-Iranian teenager who shot dead nine people in Munich was a deranged lone gunman obsessed with mass killings who drew no inspiration from Islamist militancy, police said on Saturday.
The 18-year-old, born and raised locally, opened fire near a busy shopping mall on Friday evening, triggering a lockdown in the Bavarian state capital.
Seven of his victims were themselves teenagers, who police said he may have lured to their deaths via a hacked Facebook account on what was the fifth anniversary of twin attacks by Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik that killed 77 people.
The Munich shooting, in which a further 27 people were wounded, some seriously, was the third act of violence against civilians in Western Europe - and the second in southern Germany - in eight days.
Bavarian state crime office president Robert Heimberger said the gunman, who German media named as Ali David Sonboly, was carrying more than 300 bullets in his backpack and pistol when he shot himself.
Munich police witnessed the suicide at 8:30 p.m. local time (1830 GMT), the police force said on Saturday.
Following a police search of the attacker's room, where a book on teenage shooting sprees was discovered, Munich police chief Hubertus Andrae all but ruled out an Islamist militant link to the attack.
"Based on the searches, there are no indications whatsoever that there is a connection to Islamic State" or to the issue of refugees, he told a news conference.
"Documents on shooting sprees were found, so the perpetrator obviously researched this subject intensively."
The gunman was born and brought up in the Munich area and had spent time in psychiatric care, and there was no evidence to suggest he had had an accomplice, Andrae said.
Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said it was also too early to associate the Munich shootings with Breivik, who in 2011 shot dead 69 attendees at a youth summer camp hours after murdering eight others by detonating a van bomb in Oslo.
But he told German public television the government would look carefully at its security measures once the investigation was completed to see if any changes were needed.
RELATED COVERAGE
De Maiziere said a unit of federal police had been readied on Friday given initial indications of a possible large militant attack, but in the end it was not used.
FAST-FOOD INVITE?
Robert Heimberger, president of the Bavarian state criminal agency, told the news conference police were investigating findings suggesting the Munich gunman invited people to a fast food restaurant at the mall via the Facebook account.
"(He) said he would treat them to what they wanted as long as it wasn't too expensive - that was the invitation," Heimberger said. He added that this still needed to be verified, but there were many clues suggesting the attacker had set up the invitation and sent it or posted it online.
Turkey's foreign minister said three Turkish citizens were among nine people killed in the Munich attack while Greece's foreign ministry said one Greek was among the dead. According to foreign media reports, there were also three Kosovo Albanian victims.

The German government has been covering up the crimes committed by Islamic "refugees".
CNN: Eyewitness at Munich mall says shooter screamed “Allahu akbar”
JULY 22, 2016 3:53 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER132 COMMENTS
The situation is developing. There have also been reports that the gunman shouted “I am a German” and “f*** foreigners,” in which case the shootings are a heralding of the coming civil war in Europe about which I have been warning, and which will be a result of the European elites’ suicidal policies regarding Muslim migrants. No killings of any innocent people are ever justified. Those ultimately responsible, if this is an attack on migrants or motivated by hatred of migrants, are Angela Merkel and her cohorts.
