OF THEE I SING is committed to a "Muzzle Geraldo" campaign. What is this and why? I have admired Mr. Rivera for much of his career. But his new book "Hispanic" is not only poor written and abysmally researched, it is also full of half-truths and lies. Furthermore, he does not even touch on some of the most alarming issues embedded within the ILLEGAL immigration debate. However, Mr. Rivera has a large fan base, and if his followers are to make the mistake of believing this book, we could be racing that much closer to the disaster of open borders and/or total amnesty. Hence, "Muzzle Geraldo," (not literally of course), but make him so unpopular that he cannot engage in this kind of unethical journalism again. A retraction and an apology to the citizens of the United States is due from Geraldo. So, why is OF THEE I SING dedicated to this campaign, instead of just ignoring the silly book, as millions are??? (Poor Geraldo's book sales can't compare to other, ANTI-ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION books on the subject.)

I offer you FOUR reasons we need to hold his feet to the fire:

1. Neither presidential candidate has a satisfactory stance on the Illegal Immigration crisis; Geraldo's celebrity, attacked in the "Muzzle Geraldo" campaign, may help to turn national attention back on this crisis.
2. Geraldo is a powerful man, and he used that power to crank out a book full of falsehoods: if we attack his book and its falsehoods, we expose the dangers of illegal immigration, without looking like we are picking on these poor people "who just come here to work, and find a better life." Yeah, right. Instead, we are just "Davids" going after a "Goliath," and holding him accountable for abusing his power.
3. Most immigration stories tend to be local-another tragic death in a drive-by shooting, another emergency room going bust, another education budget crisis. But, again, as Geraldo is a nationally prominent figure, attacking his book becomes more of a national story that people across the country will explore.
4. Each chapter of Geraldo's book is a disaster that needs to be individually addressed. And it will be. Hence, the story keeps growing, it doesn't go away. . .

Is he legal or an anchor baby?

And didn't someone years ago break his nose or something?

Did he deserve what he got because he is so rude and mean toward Americans? He seems to think it is his way or no way?

I have liked him, disliked him, and now he can be deport for being a traitor.

He's legal. Unfortunately we can't get rid of him......His mother is a Jewish American, and his father came from Puerto Rico, which unless I am mistaken have citizenship because they are an American territory.

He only plays up his hispanic side, and NEVER his Jewish side. All for opportunism IMO. He saw it as a good career move to be the ethnocentric hispanic spokesman. But he is only half, and his Spanish is piss-poor with a heavy accent. I've heard him speak words in Spanish and he sounds weird, kinda like a Frenchmen. I speak Spanish better than Geraldo.

He's a confused, irrelevant piece of ghetto trash. Instead of just being proud to be an American, he has been struggling to try and "FIND HIS PEOPLE" for as long as he's been "in the biz."

I think the more this moonbat mouths off with his race based rhetoric, trying to score Brownie points with the Latino population, the more REAL Americans are seeing just what a racist piece of garbage this guy really is.

He's NOT talented, he's NOT handsome, he's NOT intelligent. There is really no basis for why he's on television other than all these "attributes" makes him "controversial" and he reels in the Questionable IQ Audience. You know, the Jerry Springer types?

Why muzzle him? He's just like all the rest of the Marxist, open borders supporters, every time he opens his fat mouth, he sticks both feet in which is plainly obvious to most Americans who know what's going on. His book is nothing more than a Whinefest," feel sorry for me because I'm too stupid to be thankful for and realize the great opportunities I have in this country which was built and sustained by the rule of law, kind of book.

But if someone really wanted to muzzle him, I wouldn't stop them.....he should probably be neutered too, but I don't think there's anything there to neuter.

There was a big brawl on his show with neo-nazis. One of them threw a chair that hit Geraldo in the face, breaking his nose. I definitely disagree with the neo-nazis, and their violent tactics.......

But, did he deserve it?

In an a round-about way, yes. Because Geraldo tries to trot out neo-nazis and try to blur the lines between them and people who are concerned about the American nation.

This guy is an attorney, but no wonder he is not out practicing law, preferring sensationlism and instant fame on TV. He learned his lessons well from Jerry Springer. But one would think that with an education like his, he should be able to tell the difference between the right and the wrong way of addressing an issue. Geraldo got nationwide coverage as an imbedded reporter with the troops, when he drew the US troop movements and battle plan in the sand for the camera.
