I shopped in California not a foreign country today

I have had to make two shopping trips this week and was pleasantly surprised. I try to shop as little as possible because I always feel like I am in a foreign country. But with my daughters Prom next month I had to bite the bullet.

Well to my surprise the malls were not over crowded, children were not running rampant and I only heard English being spoken. Their still was a diverse crowd but I noticed a big difference in that instead of glares there was the smile and nod.

I don't know what is going on, but it sure was nice.

Yeah, once in a while, if you hit it just right, you can feel like you are shopping in America again. I find the very BEST time to go is on Sunday morning-they are all in church (which come to think of it is where I need to be, but I DO play hookey once in while!)
