My letter to my chain of command...
To the Honorable Congressman Jim Cooper,
While listening to the President's speech regarding immigration I could
not help but think of the mother and daughter who were recently killed by
a 16 year old Illegal Alien. Those two were slaughtered in their home by
a young man who was caught once in Texas sneaking into the country, then
released. Thankfully his fingerprints were taken so the suspect was
easily identified.
President Bush failed to mention all of the victims of violent crime and
auto accidents by the uninsured Illegal's. These people are being
forgotten. We talk about the those harmed in the war. I am thankful
that we care about our soldiers and sailors, but the numbers don't compare
to those harmed by Illegal Immigration. I myself have come close to
being hurt and have been in the same facility shortly after a girl was
raped and killed in the bathroom by an Illegal. Enough is enough.
Parts of Nashville Tennessee are becoming very unpleasant and unsafe
places.
Sir, I almost always vote Republican. My next votes will be on one issue
and one issue only; that is immigration. I will not vote for a
Republican and am hoping for a good third party. What is it going to
take to enforce the existing laws? The President states we are a country
of laws, but we are ignoring our laws and letting a certain subculture
break many laws and are not penalized under the guise of racism.
Nashville has it's issues and it is worse in other parts of the country.
We may be close, if we aren't already, to a Constitutional Crisis. I
fear for this country, I fear for the children, and I fear for a land of
civility.
I do not approve of La Raza, Reconqusta, etc. I do not feel there is
one race that is better than others. These Hispanic Supremist groups need
to be called out for what they are. I do believe there are superior
cultures and do not want the lawlessness of Mexico to permeate into this
country any further.
Please do not support anything that will promote Illegal Immigration. Fix
the immigration laws if needed, but please do not tolerate lawlessness.
Punish the employers.
Many of us feel that the Illegals are getting preferential treatment by
our government. It is disheartening to say the least.
I also hope that we can stop redistributing our wealth to non-citizens.
Sincerely,<div>"You know your country is dying when you have to make a distinction between what is moral and ethical, and what is legal." -- John De Armond</div>

Excellent letter!! Everone needs to take time, and write these kinds of letters to their representative. Write over and over! Fight, stay the course and we "will" overcome!
