    I FEEL SOOOOOO STUPID!!!

Ok boys and girls, This NEVER would have occurred to me, but it did my husband.

Why should it sound familiar to all of us to divide a nation into "territories" while maintaining states within?

give up??? Look at a map, what is directly north of the United States? very good, Canada.

Now look to the South. hmmmmmm how is Mexico divided up? Territories.

In order for there to be an NAU, wouldn't it make sense to mold our structure to match the other two nations?

I wonder if they intend to attempt to go for the whole enchilada with this revised constitution and just join us together with that document.

My appauligies to the Members/Viewers of ALIPAC. I DID NOT catch the point Eric made about breaking up the Union...That is TOTALLY unacceptable. The point I was attempting to get across is We The People, have THE LAST SAY. No matter how screwed up our elected officials may be, we the people were GIVEN by the Founders two ways to keep our God Given FREEDOMS...The Constitutional Convention and The Second Ammendment. One just happens to be a little more radical than the other, but BOTH allowing the people of the United States of America the Last Word.

Isn't it funny how people think something in the Constitution would make us look like whackos for supporting it? (I'm not discussing Eric thoughts).

I asked my father about it and he thought it sounded strange, when I explained in "general"(not knowing the exact details myself how it would work)that this is something our founding fathers put in for us,he would like to hear more about it although he thought in the short term it would cause a bit of chaos.

Of course we both agreed that the road were traveling is probably going to much worse.

There are Federal Districts..called Federal Judicial Circuits ..11 including DC with the Supreme Court as the last word..
    There are 50 States..
Why would anyone need any more or different "regional" divisions?
Larry Sabato is behind the "constitutional convention" and he wants to rewrite the Constitution..He is extremely liberal
How about everyone learn and obey the Constitution we have?
Two Federal Courts of Appeal have ignored the Supreme Court in recent rulings..blatently ruling as if the Judges never heard of or considered recent rulings exactly opposite to their own..and those Supreme Court Rulings are meant to be guidelines to Lower Court Ruling..
The ignorant judges in the Lower Federal Courts are forcing Plaintiffs and Defendants to take exact same issues to the Supreme Court..again..when the issues were already decided..
How about...we teach the Constitution we have..and make amendments rather than wholesale trash the entire document according to Sabato's view of how it should be..

Truth be told, we need to be careful about a constitutional convention. We could end up with something far, far worse than the government we have now. I don't know that we want the PC-indoctrinated, multicult America writing a new constitution.

Would we have the right to gun ownership any longer? Freedom of religion? Or would the new fifth amendment be mandatory diversity training? With people like McCain, Ted Kennedy, Hillary, and the other 90% of like-minded representatives at the wheel, we need to be very careful about this.

Not saying a new constitutional convention is a bad idea, just outlining the risks we face. To be honest, though, our ideals haven't failed America. America failed its ideals...or more specifically, the socialist types that run for office in this country failed America's ideals.

I still smell something rancid it the idea of splitting up our nation into territories. I really think it is something designed to destroy and eliminate our sovereignty.

My understanding, (I may have misunderstood) the reason why here in California we have the American Independent Party and no Constitution Party is because the Constitution Party believes only the first thirteen (13) colonies are the USA and the rest of the States are unConstitutional! This is why I left the American Independent Party, they're suppose to be the Constitutional Party however I do not agree with them about the afore mentioned. IMO the Libertarian Party is the only one that makes sense for the USA! After the primaries I'm registering as a Libertarian.
