Nestle left a message
Just wanted to point out a rep from Nestle left a message in the following thread:
http://www.alipac.us/modules.php?name=F ... c&start=75
This is a statement provided by Nestle Consumer Services regarding the You Tube video:
-The man appearing on the video is an independent -contractor, not a Nestle employee.
-Nestle is no longer doing business with this individual or his company.
-Like you, we were appalled at the behavior of the contractor. The man in no way represents Nestle views or policies.
-Nestle follows all laws regarding documentation of our workers. We only employ those who have the right to legally work in the US.

Ya...read that. To me it's a way they sub-contract the dirty work out to someone else so they aren't held responsible. I beleive you're ultimatly responsible for who you sub-contract through even though the law might not agree.

I received the same email reply from Nestle today.
Yea, I'd like to see Nestle put this on their web site, but I ain't holding my breath.October 26, 2006
Dear Mr. Sindawe,
We would like to share this update regarding your recent inquiry:
* The man appearing on the video is an independent contractor, not a Nestlé
employee.
* Nestlé is no longer doing business with this individual or his company.
* Like you, we were appalled at the behavior of the contractor. The man in
no way represents Nestlé views or policies. As an outside contractor, he had
a temporary contractor badge at the time he was filmed.
* Nestlé follows all laws regarding documentation of our workers. We only
employ those who have the right to legally work in the US.
Thank you for your concerns.
Sincerely,
Lyle Burling

I concur crazybird, ultimately the responsablity lays with the originator of the work/job, not just the sub-contractor. I wish the law were other wise, then I'd have to leverage with my HOA and our choice of grounds keepers.Knowledge is Power Power corrupts Study hard Be Evil
