Democrat, Francine Busby and Republican Brian Bilbray... She was for illegal immigration and he against ... that is what Bilbray said won the race for him ... just that simple ... the rest of the country is seeing it the same way and all the Democrats that are anti worker are in a pickle .... This should have been a win for the Democrat but she, like most Democratic leaders today took to the idea that the large number of Mexicans would win the day ... The Mexicans did not vote and I believe it is because most are illegal... Illegal immigration will bring out the American voter in NOV!!

    Let's hope you're right!

There were a few Kos Kiddies pointing this out on one of the ubiquitous post mortems they have for each losing, looney left candidate of theirs.

Of course, they were drowned out by the horde of open borders, demonizing Mexican illegal aliens is evil chorus.

Sometimes it sounds like Newt Gingrich is on our side but I'm not so sure. I receive a weekely e-mail from him and the one dated June 5th surprised me. He talks of the bad immigration bill and mentions Pence's proposal. What he said is below. I wrote to him asking him what the hell he was thinking. You decide for yourself. If anyone wants the whole e-mail sent to them, just ask.

One positive addition to the border-security and immigration debate is Rep. Mike Pence's (R-Ind.) bill, the Border Integrity and Immigration Reform Act. This bill is as close to the right solution as I have seen. It sets up a four-step process starting with what is needed and universally agreed upon -- border security. Second, it does not provide amnesty for people in the United States illegally. It requires them to go home. Next, it sets up a work-visa program using electronic bio-metric security based on conservative market principles. After an American employer can, in good faith, show that no American worker will fill a job offer, a work-visa holder may be hired. The key feature is that, in order for people who are here illegally to get a work visa, they must go home, because work visas will only be issued outside of the United States. Fourth, once the program is set up, companies that continue to ignore the law will be sanctioned severely.

I hope the House will take a serious look at Rep. Pence's thoughtful and pragmatic approach to solving this issue.

    Your friend,

    Newt Gingrich

    Newt Gingrish shouldn't be trusted.

He's this country's version of Bibi Netanyahu.

That should tell you all you need to know about Mr. Newt.

As far as I am concerned, any candidate that was illegal friendly/pro-amnesty prior to the outcome of this important election can not, and should not, be trusted should they start back-peddeling now. The fact that they WERE ready and willing to sell America out is the yardstick by which they should be measured.
We must remember those who sold us out in November. They cannot go unpunished.

I'd settle for having him in the Senate, instead of that feckless amnestia POS Salazar.
Nope, we need him in the WhiteHouse i'm not settling for anything less. It's gonna happen.
