No Hablo Español: Man accused of attacking deputies who don't speak Spanish
No Hablo Español: Man accused of attacking deputies who don't speak Spanish
http://www.naplesnews.com/news/2012/...attacking-who/
An Immokalee man is behind bars, accused of attacking Collier County sheriff's deputies after he became angry at them for not speaking Spanish.
Edgar Perez, 29, whose exact address on Orange Street was not released, was arrested Sunday near a bar on South Third Street.
While on patrol, deputies were flagged down by Perez who was standing outside the bar, according to an arrest report. However, they were unable to communicate with him due to the fact that he only spoke Spanish, reports said.
Perez seemed to be intoxicated because his eyes appeared glassy and he had an odor of alcohol coming from his breath, deputies said.
When Perez was told the deputies could not speak Spanish, he began calling them demeaning names in both Spanish and English, reports said. He then wadded up his jacket, which had a flashlight in one of its pockets, and threw it at the face of one of the deputies, according to reports.
Deputies said they attempted to restrain Perez but he resisted, at which time they struck Perez in the head with their fists and arrested him. Perez faces charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting officer with violence.

Talk about a 'hate crime'! Can you imagine what would happen if any American attacked an officer or anyone else for not speaking English? It would be headlines in every major media outlet.
This story probably won't be reported outside of the local paper unless ALIPAC or another major organization makes a big effort to get it out.

This is a consecuence of what utilities and services companies have done, making this people to have a misconception of what this country is, creating answering phone programs (for Spanish press 1) (for English press 9). Some of them misunderstand these kind of facilities, thinking everyone in this country have to speak their invader language.

Since this happened in Florida it is no surprise to me. So many parts of Florida are flooded with unassimilating Spanish speakers of Cuban and other Latino descent that they expect everyone else to learn and speak Spanish. Wet foot, dry foot should never have been allowed to become policy in this country, IMO.

This story reminds me of an incident here in Maryland in 2010. An 11-year old girl was RAPED by three illegal alien scumbags because she did not speak Spanish. Of course this happened in one of Maryland's "sanctuary cities."
The three illegal aliens saw her walking home from school, tried speaking to her in Spanish, and when she told them she did not understand Spanish, they RAPED her out of anger. One of these pigs was 39-years old. A 39-year old man raping an 11-year old child!!!!! (Mod Edit/rule violation) That 11-year old will live with her scars forever, so good riddance to him.Last edited by Ratbstard; 01-04-2012 at 01:09 PM.
Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented worker" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist"........
