Recently, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals has decided not to renew long-term contractor arrangements and instead hire an Indian company that has a reputation for importing low-cost H-1B workers. Pfizer is one of the largest employers in south-eastern Connecticut and Sen. Dodd and Rep. Courtney expressed their concerns in a letter to Pfizer's CEO, Jeffrey Kindler. Dodd and Courtney's letter stated, "Given Pfizer's critical importance as one of the largest employers in southeastern Connecticut, we would like you to provide us with information about the potential workforce changes and urge you in the strongest terms to reconsider any such action."

Please send a fax to Sen. Dodd and Rep. Courtney and thank them for looking out for American workers. Also, urge them to support H-1B reform bills, such as the Durbin-Grassley bill.

Isn't it *interesting* how Dodd, who has a terrible record on protecting American workers from uncontrolled legal and illegal immigration and foreign workers, suddenly gets religion when good jobs in his state are threatened.

Michigan is far away from anything happening in the positive. Since I live here I know enough about GM to know that at least some of the bailout money they want will be sent right away to India to help pay employees there that have replaced Americans - yet not one word at all in any of the local media has ever mentioned this!
