OBAMA’S ‘COOL CLOCK’ MUSLIM BOY CLAIMS RACISM TO FOREIGN AUDIENCE

The Muslim American boy championed by President Barack Obama is using his new worldwide fame to accuse Texans of racism and anti-Muslim discrimination.

“My dream is to raise consciousness against racism and discrimination,” he said at a New York press event with Turkey’s Islamist Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, according to an article in the Turkish newspaper, HurriyetDailyNews.com.
“Davutoğlu, who is New York for the 70th United Nations General Assembly, has met with 14-year-old student Ahmed Mohamed, who was detained at school by the police in Texas when a teacher thought a clock he had made was a bomb,” the newsite said.

“Speaking to reporters ahead of the meeting with Davutoğlu, Mohamed said he was excited to meet the Turkish prime minister [and] said he wanted to raise awareness against racism and discrimination,” said TodaysZaman, a Turkish newspaper that support’s Turkey’s Islamist governent.

The boy tweeted out a picture of his meeting with the prime minister, and his observant Muslim wife, Sare Davutoğlu, who was wearing an Islamic hood.

On Sept. 14, teachers and police in Irving, Texas, detained and questioned Mohamed about a box and wiring he brought into his High School.

The boy’s device was a commercial 120-volt alarm clock, first dismantled and then placed in a case where the screen could not be seen by any users. The boy also left the clock’s innards exposed, so when the power-cord was plugged in, the clock could electrocute anyone who reached inside the case to turn the alarm on or off. The device’s intended purpose was so obscure, in fact, that puzzled police and teachers thought it was a hoax-bomb.

The police skepticism likely was raised because of the recent attempt by two men — both observant Muslims — to machine-gun a large group of attendees at an art exhibition in nearby Garland, Texas. The men were successfully killed by a policeman who was standing guard in the correct expectation of an attack by Muslim men.

Two days after the police briefly detained the boy, and amid a social-media hurricane of progressive claims that Irving’s police were motivated by racism and dislike of Islam, Obama publicly congratulated Mohamed via a Sept. 16 tweet. “Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It’s what makes America great,” Obama tweeted.

Davutoğlu is the Islamist prime minister of Turkey, who is working with President Recep Erdoğan to roll back the secular reforms imposed by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in the 1920s and 1930s. For example, his new government rules require students to study the Koran in school.

He is also trying to reassemble Turkey’s Ottoman Empire, which was destroyed by World War One. “We will again tie Sarajevo to Damascus, Benghazi to Erzurum to Batumi. This is the core of our power,” he said in 2013.

In March, Davutoğlu insisted that the recent criminal murder of three “young Muslims” in North Carolina was caused by “Islamophobia,” which is a term used to suggest that dislike of Islam’s ideas is evidence of insanity. He used the claim to back his argument that Turks in America and Turkish-Americans “defend shared humanitarian values shoulder to shoulder, together with other Muslim Americans and those who are against racism.”

AHMED MOHAMED AND THE ‘ISLAMOPHOBIA’ CLOCK

    by PAMELA GELLER
    17 Sep 2015

A Muslim teen, fourteen-year-old Ahmed Mohamed, bought a strange ticking device to his school, MacArthur High School. His device caused alarm and fear, and he was detained for having what his teacher perceived as a bomb. Police officers said the electronic components and wires inside his Vaultz pencil case (which is the size of a briefcase) looked like a “hoax bomb,” according to local news station WFAA.

When questioned about what the device was, Mohamed wouldn’t answer. Now terror-tied Islamic groups like the Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), their media lapdogs, and even Barack Obama are waging jihad against the school and the local police.

When police questioned the boy, WFAA reports, they said he was “passive aggressive” and didn’t give them a “reasonable answer” as to why he had brought his contraption to the school. “We attempted to question the juvenile about what it was and he would simply only say it was a clock. He didn’t offer any explanation as to what it was for, why he created this device, why he brought it to school,” said James McLellan of the Irving Police Department.

This whole thing smells like a setup. With ISIS in America, and young moderate Muslims fleeing to Syria to join the terror group, the response of MacArthur High School officials was rational and reasonable. At my website, PamelaGeller.com, I run news stories on a weekly basis of American Muslim teens who have been arrested for trying to join ISIS. Just this week, a Muslim teen from Philadelphia was arrested for an alleged plot to assassinate the Pope during his visit to the United States.
Every day we are warned of new terror threats, increased threat levels. But trying to protect school children is “Islamophobic.” And President Obama agrees, of course. Yes, he has weighed in; Barack Obama himself got into the act, tweeting to Ahmed: “Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It’s what makes America great.”

When I first heard about this story, I wrote at my website that it smelled fishy. Now, as more details have emerged, it positively stinks. The plot has considerably thickened. In what has become one of the most egregious of the faked hate narratives, the bomb hoax clockster turns out to come from a family that has a history of supremacist stunts.

The New York Daily News reported this Wednesday about Ahmed Mohamed’s father, Mohamed ElHassan Mohamed:

One of the earliest instances of the standout citizen making national news was in 2011, when he sensationally stood up to an anti-Islamic pastor and defended the Koran as its defense attorney. That mock trial at a Florida church ended with the book’s burning, to ElHassan’s claimed shock. In an interview with the Washington Post at the time, the devoted Muslim said he’d take on Rev. Terry Jones’ challenge because the holy book teaches that Muslims should engage in peaceful dialogue with Christians.

Also in 2011, ElHassan debated Robert Spencer on the questionf of “Does Islam Respect Human Rights?” Clearly, he was trying to score a victory against a famous “Islamophobe” and thus win a name for himself. ElHassan has been looking for publicity and chances to fight against “Islamophobia” for a considerable period. Now he has seized it, going so far as to claim his son was “tortured” by school and law enforcement officials.

He finally has the cause he has been seeking for so long. School officials were being prudent, protecting the children. Irving, Texas has had its share of jihad and sharia. Two Muslim sisters, Amina and Sarah Said, were honor murdered by their father, execution-style, in Irving several years ago. He is still at large. And Irving, Texas is only half an hour from Garland, Texas – the site of a jihad shooting on a free speech event last May. And the news is regularly riddled with stories of young Muslims, all lovely, sweet achievers, who suddenly — go jihad.

This story is pure agitprop most fatal. “If you see something, say something” is now racism. And for destroying this simple principle of self-protection, young Ahmed Mohamed is a media star. Not only has Barack Obama invited him to the White House, but NASA has also invited Ahmed to meet with them, as has Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook. The whole thing has clearly been a setup, and its effect will be to make Americans less safe. If you ever see a Muslim with a suspicious object, remember the lesson of Ahmed Mohamed: to say something would be “racism.” That could end up being the epitaph of America and the free world.

The clock is a fake. He bought it on Ebay. It's a 1970's vintage Radio Shack alarm clock. He just took it out of its cabinet and claimed it as his own.

US 'clock boy' Ahmed Mohamed to move to Qatar

Image copyrightGetty ImagesImage captionThe whole Mohamed family will move to Qatar

Ahmed Mohamed, the Muslim teenager from Texas whose teacher mistook his homemade clock for a bomb, will move to Qatar with his family.

Ahmed has accepted a scholarship from the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, where he will study.

He met US President Barack Obama at the White House on Monday.

After being detained over the clock, Ahmed's case went viral on social media.

Some alleged he was unfairly treated because of his name and religious background. Officials in Irving Texas defended their decision, saying they were only concerned with the safety of students.

The Qatar Foundation is providing a full scholarship for his secondary and undergraduate education, according to a news release.

"Our family has been overwhelmed by the many offers of support we have received since the unfortunate incident of Ahmed's arrest," the Mohamed family said in the release. "From the White House to Sudan, to Mecca, we have been welcomed by a variety of individuals, businesses and educational institutions."

According to his family, Ahmed will be enrolled in the Qatar Foundation's "Young Innovators" program and his whole family will relocate with him to Qatar.

"Qatar was a cool place to visit. I loved the city of Doha because it's so modern. I saw so many amazing schools there, many of them campuses of famous American universities," said Ahmed in the news release. "The teachers were great. I think I will learn a lot and have fun too."'

Ahmed withdrew from his Texas school shortly after the clock incident.

He was arrested after his teacher mistook his clock for a bomb, sparking outrage and the trending hashtag #StandWithAhmed.

That's great news. I wonder what the Muslims in Qatar will think when they find out he didn't invent a clock after all and defrauded everyone with his hoax? Well, better their problem than ours.

    Buh bye.

Attorneys for the 14-year-old Muslim boy arrested after taking a homemade clock to his Dallas-area school say he was publicly mistreated and deserves $15 million in damages.

They also say his rights were ignored.

A law firm representing Ahmed Mohamed sent letters Monday demanding $10 million from the city of Irving and $5 million from the Irving Independent School District.
The letters also threaten lawsuits and seek written apologies.

Seeking restitution: Mohamed al Hasan Mohamed (left) and Muna Ibrahim (right), the parents of Ahmed Mohamed, have hired lawyers and filed a lawsuit seeking $15 million over the way their son was treated

Ahmed met with President Barack Obama last month at the White House's Astronomy Night. The invitation came after he was mistakenly arrested at school in September (right), with a teacher believing he had a bomb. The device was actually a clock he had made himself as a project

Ahmed took his clock to school in September, and his teacher thought it could be a bomb.

She called 911 and Ahmed was arrested but never charged. He was also suspended from school. A photo of him being taken away in handcuffs, looking frightened and confused, quickly spread around the world. His arrest sparked fury across the nation, and Ahmed has basked in his celebrity status since, leaving school and flying all over with his parents to meet dignitaries
    .
Last month he ended up meeting President Obama after he was invited to the White House as consolation for his arrest.

The family accepted a foundation's offer to pay for Ahmed's education in Qatar and has since moved to the Persian Gulf country 'for security reasons'. They say in the lawsuit they would like to return to Texas when they feel safe again

Among the many damages they mention is that Ahmed was turned into 'Clock Boy' on a Halloween costume website.

Yhe letters claim that Ahmed suffered severe damages as a result of his arrest and interrogation

The letters were sent to both the City of Irving and Irving IDS demanding $10 million and $5 million respectively

The attorneys claim that both the school district and the police department violated Ahmed’s rights

Avi Selk, a reporter for the Dallas Morning News, tweeted an image of the clock in an evidence bag. The evidence bag lists the charge as a 'Hoax bomb'

The family seeks written apology from Mayor Van Duyne acknowledging that she has never been presented with any evidence that Ahmed was a 'pawn' in any 'civilization jihad' and a written apology from Police Chief Larry Boyd acknowledging that Ahmed never intended to threaten anyone.

Messages left for Irving's city attorney and the district weren't immediately returned Monday.

After meeting the president last month, Ahmed announced that he will take up an offer from a foundation in Qatar. The high school student withdrew from his Texas school after being arrested and has embarked on a world tour of visits to places such as Google before going to Washington DC.

A statement from his family at the time said he had accepted an offer from the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development to join its Young Innovators program.

Ahmed, who wants to be an engineer, said in the statement: 'Qatar was a cool place to visit. I loved the city of Doha because it's so modern. I saw so many amazing schools there, many of them campuses of famous American universities.

At the White House on October 19, Obama briefly met Ahmed and even gave the freshman a hug

Education City has one Qatari university as well as outposts of schools including University College London, Carnegie Mellon University, Weill Cornell Medical College, and Georgetown's School of Foreign Service.

'They even have Texas A&M at Qatar … It’s basically like America,' Ahmed's 18-year-old sister Eyman told the Dallas Morning News.
'We are going to move to a place where my kids can study and learn and all of them being accepted by that country,' his father Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed said.

Ahmed previously said he was 'glad' for his arrest and the ensuing attention it brought him.
