    Obama’s Cloward-Piven Immigration Strategy

    Obama’s Cloward-Piven Immigration Strategy

    By Steve Deace on June 10, 2014

    The American people have been inundated with stories the past few days of a tragic humanitarian crisis. At least 100,000 kids from Latin America have illegally flooded across the border. Of course, the Obama Regime is claiming this is a result of our lack of “immigration reform” (aka scamnesty). And they’re pretending to be surprised by the whole thing.
    But they’re not surprised. Quite the opposite is true. This is all going as planned.
    The timing of this humanitarian crisis can be linked directly to the Obama Regime’s unilateral (see that as illegal) decision to continue its unilateral (see that as illegal) variation of the so-called “Dream Act” (aka amnesty for children). Last month, the Obama Regime decided to continue breaking the law, and one immigration official said in a memo “the result will be an even greater increase in the rate of recidivism and first-time illicit entries.”
    This is the so-called “Cloward-Piven Strategy” at work folks. Named after the two Leftists who authored it, the strategy here is simple — flood the welfare state with needy people until it reaches its breaking point, and the people have no choice but to accept Marxism as a substitute. That’s exactly what you’re seeing the Obama Regime doing on the issue of illegal immigration. They’re not surprised or deflated by this. They’re elated, and they’re the ones conducting the cattle call. Shamelessly using children born into poverty as a means of collapsing the system. Ironically, if they’re successful they’ll collapse what’s unique about America that makes the rest of the world want to come here in the first place.
    But the Republicans in Washington, D.C. won’t pounce on this issue and save these children or the American people from another manufactured Obama crisis. That’s because GOP leadership is in the back-pocket of corporatists, who want to use illegals for cheap labor. They’re actually hoping these sad and adorable faces guilt you into allowing corporatists to groom them for glorified indentured servitude one day.
    Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am. Stuck in the middle with you.

    The Cloward-Piven Strategy – How Barack Obama is Playing America

    Sid Wolf January 13, 2014

    Mark Alexander wrote that in Mein Kampf (1925), Hitler's autobiography regarding the BIG LIE, he indicated"the lie must be so 'colossal' that the public would be confident that no national leader could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously." --patriotpost

    Does "if you like your plan you can keep your plan, period" and "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, period" along with all the other promises made regarding transparency, oversight and accountability, qualify? Maybe not; but boarders on the following premise where Hitler further says:
    "In the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods.

    It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying."

    Hitler's Propaganda Minister, Goebbels, affirmed: "the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. ... It is the absolute right of the state to supervise the formation of public opinion." Does mainstream media's "love affair" with this administration possibly fit this narrative? Mainstream media goes whichever the wind blows in supporting or protecting the administration.
    Alexander references Hitler's assessment of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, or NAZI: "The party ... must not become a servant of the masses, but their master." With respect to the socialist state and individual Liberty, he wrote, "The unity of a nation's spirit and will are worth far more than the freedom of the spirit and will of an individual; and that the higher interests involved in the life of the whole must here set the limits and lay down the duties of the interests of the individual."

    Hitler's regime was founded on the premise that, "We are Socialists, we are enemies of the capitalistic economic system ... and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions." Goebbels reiterates: "To be a socialist is to submit the I to the thou; socialism is sacrificing the individual to the whole."

    Alexander provides another example for those failing to comprehend the comparisons he makes by citing Liberal economist Hayek's comment: "There is no difference in principle, between the economic philosophy of Nazism, socialism, communism, and fascism and that of the American welfare state and a regulated economy."
    Obama said: "Make no mistake, we are headed in the right direction, but … we're not headed there fast enough for a lot of Americans." Many might interpret this to mean that our economy is improving? The following might reflect just the opposite:
    US Debt Clock:
    Year
    US Workforce
    Official Unemployed
    Actual Unemployed
    Not in Labor Force
    Living in Poverty
    2008
    143,475,078
    10,943,242
    13,581,218
    80,583,369
    39,791,069
    2013
    143,390,054
    10,864,768
    20,429,333
    91,469,765
    47,103,433

    Source: usdebtclock+/- factors and variables used to compile unemployment figures not considered
    The table above is self-explanatory. However, just visually comparing actual unemployed, those not in the labor force, and those living in poverty, not impressive. Considering all the legislation to "stimulate" employment and our economy; one could come to the conclusion that 1) all the money was wasted and subsidized mainly special interest groups and 2) there has been no "recovery. The poverty level is deplorable and inexcusable. So much for resolving issues regarding the "war on poverty." Still, the actual "non-working" labor force number is approximately 91,469,765 is astounding.
    Wholeheartedly believe that all the rules and regulations coming out of the many agencies in DC is a contributing factor with respect to the above statistics. They are killing entrepreneurial spirit in America for all races, ethnic and age groups. Maybe, that's what this administration and elites want. They talk a good game, but their actions convey just the opposite. This moral outrage is a joke, and we are being played.
    Referencing an article Alexander wrote in 2010, entitled: "Breaking the Back of Free Enterprise along with an analysis regarding Obama's agenda, policies and his objective to 'fundamentally transforming the United States of America.'" If "breaking the back of capitalism under the weight of national debt accumulation associated with welfare spending, and in the ensuing crisis, implement "emergency" government intervention which will, ultimately, replace the last vestiges of free enterprise with a democratic socialist framework (centralized economic planning and regulation with full-spectrum income redistribution), then one would conclude that we probably need really examine the consequences if his agenda actually succeeds."
    Alexander makes the case that the model being employed by this administration resembles the Cloward–Piven strategy. Strategy in simplest of terms - overload the government welfare system to critical mass resulting in the replacement of current system with a state-directed national system of "guaranteed annual income and thus an end to poverty."
    In 1970, Cloward told The New York Times that "rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system; collapsing the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the nation; poor people would rise in revolt; only then would 'the rest of society" accept their demands.'"
    If their intentions were truly meant to help the poor by destroying the whole welfare system, then the very tactics being utilized by those in power are just maintaining status quo in order to control a large segment of the population. Emotional appeals and handouts are always a way to gain political support and acceptance of policies that have done nothing to end poverty and votes needed to win elections. Most currently signing up on state exchanges are ending up in Medicaid. Think about that and all that being on Medicaid entails.
    When Cloward-Piven implemented their strategy in New York City (1975), not only did the welfare rolls overwhelm the system, it resulted in the city filing bankruptcy. The dangers of this on a national level would be catastrophic, yet Democrats continue to implement policies and entitlement programs that only compounded the problem.
    The ensuing financial market collapsed weeks ahead of the 2008 presidential election resulted in the election of a charismatic radical leftist community organizer becoming President. The above comments regarding the use of the Cloward-Piven strategy tend to support his conclusion. "Never allow a crisis to go to waste." Alexander's correct on this point - every few weeks a new crisis.
    I would suggest Cloward-Piven strategy is being utilized – i.e. push for immigration reform to overload electoral system. Making an appeal for common sense – overload welfare/electoral system, increase spending and national debt along with implementing policies that strangle anyone's chance to achieve the "American Dream." Is this the intent of this administration? Collapsing our entire economy is not beyond elitists seeking a one world government.
    A basic tenant shared by Socialists, Marxists, Communists and Progressives is centralization of power. Basic philosophy is collective, reactionary, and opposition to the freedom of the individual. They fear individual freedom, because of the uncertainty on how that freedom will be used; thus the need to control all aspects of human activity. Individual freedoms are the essence of creativity and in most cases spiritual with respect to morality and a common set of values. The very nature of freedom is what enabled those in power to amass the wealth they currently have; yet, these same individuals want to prevent the rest of us from doing the same.
    History has shown that once centralization begins, and the momentum grows the more ruthless those in power become in exercising their authority and enforcement of policies to remain in control. Each step is always at the expense of the people. Entitlements take away the power of the individual to make their own decisions along with personal identity and respect. Population becomes complacent and apathetic not realizing individual responsibility and basic freedoms have been eroded, and any resistance would be futile.
    Most view freedom as that of - choice, self-development, economics, personal responsibility which includes ownership of private property, decentralization and a genuine competitive free enterprise along with the right to inherit any form of property or money from one's forebears, dividends from investments and above all the right to make a profit.
    Progressives tout that labor produces all wealth and any individual or entrepreneur who enjoys any economic benefit through inheritance, dividends, gains from capital investments, or just plain hard work is nothing more than a "'parasite living off the workers." The idea of an individual who is untethered and free to enter into an entrepreneurial, competitive system, based on private ownership of property where the government's main function is to uphold the rule of law ensuring that no one infringes on another's right terrifies those who want a more centralized form of government where some bureaucratic decides winners and losers.
    The idea that the government should provide jobs only brings back something once read: "The pyramids of Egypt were used to provide employment thousands of years ago; but the slaves who toiled all day would have probably preferred to be working on a project that would have benefited themselves and their families!"
    Those in power claim to be for the "underdog," the middle class, the poor, the "have nots," but they have no intention of doing anything for these individuals or society as a whole. Power, control and greed seem to be the driving force and once the "ruling elite" have complete control and power, you can forget all the "entitlements." The ultimate goal is to create "trained workers" (common core) needed for the production of goods and services that generate the sustainable wealth they desire.
    Progressives are hypocrites - profess to be against "profits" yet most build up their own assets using "inside" knowledge through the legislative process often organizing their own investment companies or portfolios to further their own private interests. During the 2008 crisis, who lost most of their savings and investments – the little guy?
    Keynes at Harvard (1960), issued by the Veritas Foundation, found "elitists manage to live high on the hog through speculation, profit-making or by drawing high salaries in government, tax-exempt foundations, universities or unsuspecting corporations . . . Prominent agitators against "Capitalism," according to data in Who's Who in America, have profited, as individuals in all the above categories." The double-standards of Progressives and/or Socialists are similar to those of the Communist Commissars, who live in luxury while the rest of the population live in abject poverty or basically live in a "classless society!" What is good for them may not necessarily be good for the rest of society.

    Are We Being Played by the Communists and the Islamists?

    Sid Wolf January 21, 2014

    Our Constitution was framed by the unrestrained and deliberate consultations of "we the people." The undermining of our Constitution has been occurring for decades, but once our Republic is gone it may leave a void to be filled for decades with civil unrest and despotism. There are those who ignore or fail to honor their oath to uphold our Constitution and Rule of Law - principles needed to stop subsidizing the corruption.
    Ward W. Keesecker wrote an article titled "The High Calling of Teachers" in School Life, May 1953. In that article, he wrote:
    "Democracy was the cause of the downfall of the Weimar Republic. By asserting democratic rights and principles, it could actually paralyze constitutional procedures and processes…thus the individual who takes 'democracy' as his 'faith' or 'religion' decides for himself what is right or wrong; freedom from 'old doctrines, traditions, and principles. History has shown democracy, both political and as 'a way of life' have led to destruction, decadency and could even be considered 'debauching.'"
    That's a disconcerting statement, but true.
    The basic tenant and ideology shared by elitists – centralization of power, collective, and opposition to freedom. Our Bill of Rights and Constitution were written to protect against these intrusions.
    "Progressives want to pervert this safeguard by enslaving 'the individual so that he becomes the marionette of the centralized power," wrote Keesecker.
    "School of Darkness" by Italian born Bella V. Dodd, an Ex-Communist infiltrated and was involved in the early development of such organizations as the American Federation of Teachers, NEA, A.F.L., CIO (now AFLCIO) and other labor organizations for decades is worth reading, genus. She reveals the tactics used to attract individuals into supporting the ideology. The following excerpts supports argument and intent behind the rhetoric:

    1. "We are a revolutionary party, not a reform group."
    2. "Actual reforms were anathema to our strategy, as was getting out the vote …. main goal was revolution and dictatorship of the proletariat."
    3. "…offers and vague promises of future social betterment attracted voters."
    4. "Using the youth, minority groups and women because they were easily moved through emotional appeals - moral justification has a terrific impact in any movement."
    5. "Negroes were used as instruments to further platform and ideology."
    6. "Exalting evil, ridiculing right or good and vilifying outdated morals and virtues; mocking patriotism - all are to be changed."

    She writes that everything they did to play on intellectual, humanitarian, racial, and religious sensibilities succeeded in conditioning the American people. No convention of teachers went unnoticed - national office would contact members who had infiltrated these organizations and have them introduce and/or oppose certain issues -focus on federal aid and separation of church and state.
    Old virtues were ridiculed - "one must follow natural impulses to live life to the fullest and not be restrained by rigidity or righteous standards of a moral order." Mainstream media, like today, readily joined in, along with others. Under the influence of sophistry, vices and excesses of mankind would be referred to as diseases and accepted as such. That which can be controlled by the will is not a disease. Remember Skousen's list of communist goals? What is condensed here, summarizes what Dodd described in her book:
    ~ Eliminate prayer and/or any religious expression in schools – separation of church/state

    ~ Infiltrate religious institutions replacing them with "social religion" – discredit Bible

    ~ Break down cultural standards of morality promoting pornography, obscenity in all media forms

    ~ Discredit Founding Fathers as being aristocrats and out of touch with "common man"

    ~ Present homosexuality, degeneracy, promiscuity as normal, natural and healthy

    ~ Discredit Constitution deeming it inadequate, old-fashion, out of touch with modern needs (a "living" document) - promote new world order

    ~ Stress need to raise children away from influence of parents - attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children as too suppressive - basically discredit the family as an institution - "takes a village to raise a child"

    ~ Gain control of and obtain positions in art arena - eliminate all good sculpture from parks & buildings – promote ugly, repulsive meaningless forms

    ~ Eliminate laws governing obscenity - censorship; violation of free speech and press

    ~ Eliminate and vilify House Committee on Un-American Affairs and all laws/procedures that interfere with operation of Communist/Marxist/socialism apparatus and their organizations

    ~ Dispense with loyalty oaths and take over one or both political parties in US

    ~ Use technical decisions of courts weakening basic American institutions - violation of civil rights

    ~ Support socialist movements – education, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

    ~ Gain control of schools, teachers and student organizations, textbooks, publications – use to indoctrinate socialist (Marxist ideals; now Islamic) – soften curriculum

    ~ Use students to encourage and foster protests against government programs, agencies or organizations that attack or promote investigations into Communist/Marxist/socialist activities

    ~ Infiltrate all media, labor unions, and big business – obtain key positions to effect policy changes

    ~ Disparage all forms of American culture; discourage teaching American history - more emphasis on Russian/Communist/Marxist/socialist history (now Islamic culture and religion)

    ~ Treat behavioral problems as psychiatric disorder; dominate psychiatric profession to facilitate mental health laws as means to gain coercive control over the opposition

    All of the above were discussed in Dodd's book. Combine objectives above and the following below from the Muslim's, "The Project" (1982) and you have recipe for the destruction of our Republic:

    • Networking and coordinating actions between likeminded Islamist organizations;
    • Avoiding open alliances with known terrorist organizations and individuals - maintain appearance of "moderation";
    • Infiltrating and taking over existing Muslim organizations to realign them towards the Muslim Brotherhood's collective goals;
    • Using deception to mask the intended goals of Islamist actions
    • Avoiding social conflicts with Westerners locally, nationally or globally, that might damage the long-term ability to expand the Islamist powerbase in the West or provoke a lash back against Muslims;
    • Putting into place a watchdog system for monitoring Western … establishment of think-tanks and advocacy groups, and publishing "academic" studies, to legitimize Islamist positions and to chronicle the history of Islamist movements;
    • Building extensive social networks of schools, hospitals and charitable organizations dedicated to Islamist ideals;
    • Involving ideologically committed Muslims in democratically-elected institutions on all levels in the West, including government, NGOs, private organizations and labor unions;
    • Instrumentally using existing Western institutions until they can be converted and put into service of Islam;
    • Drafting Islamic constitutions, laws and policies for eventual implementation;
    • Inflaming violence and keeping Muslims living in the West "in a jihad frame of mind";
    • Supporting jihad movements across the Muslim world through preaching, propaganda, personnel, funding, and technical and operational support;
    • Making the Palestinian cause a global wedge issue for Muslims;
    • Adopting the total liberation of Palestine from Israel and the creation of an Islamic state as a keystone in the plan for global Islamic domination;
    • Instigating a constant campaign to incite hatred by Muslims against Jews and rejecting any discussions of conciliation or coexistence with them;

    "The process by which democracies decline is...subtle... What happens is that they are slowly drained of what makes them democratic, by a process of internal decay and mounting indifference...." — England's Supreme Court Justice Lord Sumption

    Again, if our legislators are so intent in "improving our lot in life" and "easing our pain," then why does legislation contain funding mechanisms that line the pockets of corporate entities, financial institutions, special interest groups and their own personal portfolios? Anyone questioning or scrutinizing legislation with respect to ramification or consequences when implemented, are attacked, mercilessly vilified, or considered "wacko birds." One has to ask – why?
    The war on poverty/women, inequality, and class warfare are emotional appeals utilized to get the people's vote, maintain status quo or advance an ideology. Just to remind you, the number of people living in poverty is 47,118,978; receiving food stamps 47,386.665 - an increase of more than 9.5 million and 23.7 million respectively since 2008.
    Legislation passed over the last 50 years was supposed to combat poverty, the disparity between the "haves and have-nots" and increase opportunities for all. Instead, we have a "nanny state" with no "real reform" or improvement in our quest for "the American Dream." One thing is definitely clear: It has produced a "loyal" voting base. Increasing rules and regulations stifles the entrepreneurial spirit, leading me to believe that our government is subduing everyone into a false sense of security. Again, why?
    Tocqueville once observed "Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude."
    Remember Upton Sinclair writing to Norman Thomas: "The American People will take Socialism, but they won't take the label. I certainly proved it in the case of EPIC. Running on the Socialist ticket, I got 60,000 votes, and running on the slogan to 'End Poverty in California' I got 879,000. I think we simply have to recognize the fact that our enemies have succeeded in spreading the Big Lie. There is no use attacking it by a front attack; it is much better to out-flank them."

    My final thoughts come from a French socialist, Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, "General Idea of the Revolution in the Nineteenth Century," (1923):
    "To be GOVERNED is to be kept in sight, inspected, spied upon, directed, law-driven, numbered, enrolled, indoctrinated, preached at, controlled, estimated, valued, censured, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right, nor the wisdom, nor the virtue to do so.
    To be GOVERNED is to be at every operation, at every transaction, noted, registered, enrolled, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, authorized, admonished, forbidden, reformed, corrected, punished. It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest, to be placed under contribution, trained, ransomed, exploited, monopolized, extorted, squeezed, mystified, robbed; then, at the slightest resistance, the first word of complaint, to be repressed, fined, despised, harassed, tracked, abused, clubbed, disarmed, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, outraged, dishonored.

    That is government; that is its justice; that is its morality."

    CHANDLER: The Cloward-Piven strategy

    By
    The Washington Times
    Wednesday, October 15, 2008

    OP-ED:
    There is plenty blame to go around for the financial crash. Yet, there is a distinct odor of the shadowy Cloward-Piven strategy as the taproot of abusive practices that triggered the crisis. The strategy’s goal is to bring about the fall of capitalism by overloading and undermining government bureaucracy.
    Its supporting tactics include flooding government with impossible demands until it slowly cranks to a stop; overloading electoral systems with successive tidal waves of new voters, many of them bogus; shaking down banks, politicians in Congress, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development for affirmative-action borrowing; and, now, pulling down the national financial system by demanding exotic, subprime mortgages for low-income Americans with little hope of repaying their loans. These toxic mortgages are an important source of the foul smell engulfing the entire financial bailout.
    Developed in the mid-1960s by two Columbia University sociologists, Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, much of their strategy was drawn from Saul Alinsky, Chicago’s notorious revolutionary Marxist community organizer. The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) succeeded the National Welfare Rights Organization in the execution of the Cloward-Piven grand tactics of using the poor as cannon fodder to tear down the capitalist system. It was low-income, mostly black and Hispanic people, who were used by ACORN guerrillas to take subprime toxic mortgages.
    An Obama campaign dispatch on October 6 had the right perspective in observing that “the backward economic philosophy and culture of corruption that helped create the current crisis are looking more and more like any other major financial crisis of our time.” True enough.
    The root causes for the 2008 financial panic were sown some 40 years ago when the Institute for Policy Studies, the notorious “Think Tank of the Left,” held socialist seminars geared toward undermining the American capitalist system. Beginning in 1964 and continuing to the present day, the Institute for Policy Studies has used seminars especially scoped to influence congressmen and their assistants to support the “progressive,” that is to say “socialist,” viewpoint. A 1969 “Housing and Property” seminar, hosted by the Institute for Policy Studies, for example, treated Capitol Hill denizens to mind-stretching leftism. Bringing together speakers from big-city tenants councils, neighborhood legal services, FHA insurance, savings-and-loans entities, and the Shannon and Luchs Realty Company, the Institute for Policy Studies “plinked” the first domino that led to the current crisis.
    At about the same time that the Institute for Policy Studies was holding the 1969 “Housing and Property” seminars, it was also conducting “Experimental Education” seminars in January-April 1969, for federal legislators and their aides that included Bill Ayers, an Obama confidant and Weatherman terrorist, as a guest speaker. According to the Senate Subcommittee on Investigation, 4,330 bombings occurred in the United States, about nine a day, from January 1969 to April 1970.
    The socialist test case for using society’s poor and disadvantaged people as sacrificial “shock troops,” in accordance with the Cloward-Piven strategy, was demonstrated in 1975, when new prospective welfare recipients flooded New York City with payment demands, bankrupting the government. As a consequence, New York state also teetered on the edge of financial collapse when the federal government stepped in with a bailout rescue.
    The 2008 financial crisis has all of the earmarks of a Cloward-Piven strategy assault against the capitalist system. Stanley Kurtz of the Ethics and Public Policy Center recently explained that “community organizers” (1) “intimidate banks into making high risk loans to customers with poor credit,” (2) “occupy private offices, chant inside bank lobbies, and confront executives at their homes,” and, through these thuggish tactics, (3) compel “financial institutions to direct hundreds of millions dollars in mortgages to low-credit customers.” “In other words,” Mr. Kurtz explained during a presentation at the Hudson Institute’s Bradley Center for Philanthropy and Civic Renewal, “community organizers help to undermine America’s economy by pushing the banking system into a sink-hole of bad loans.”
    A key element of the contemporary crisis certainly reflects many years of a “backward economic philosophy and culture of corruption” cited by the Obama camp. But much of the associated backwardness and deception were secretly peddled by the Institute for Policy Studies. Its war against the financial system used improvised non-ethical devices (INEDs) designed to destroy capitalism and support Mr. Obama. One of those roadside INEDs was the Cloward-Piven strategy.
