    Obama’s SEAL Team 6 Coverup - Scandal 6 - Extortion 17

    Obama’s SEAL Team 6 Coverup

MAY 30, 2013 BY KRIS ZANE 82 COMMENTS

On August 6, 2011, a military helicopter— Extortion 17— carrying thirty-eight men (including twenty-five of the elite SEAL Team 6, five National Guard and Army Reserve, and eight Afghan commandos) was shot down over Taliban-controlled territory in eastern Afghanistan. They had been on a top secret mission to take out a high-value target.

It was the worst loss of life in a single day since the war in Afghanistan began. Per a 1250-page military report, it was simply the result of a “lucky shot” by Taliban soldiers perched on top of a building. Per families of those killed and military experts at apress conference held on May 9, 2013, this is a lie among a host of other lies.

After the families attended a several hour military briefing about this “lucky shot,” describing what happened and why their sons died, they smelled a rat and started digging around.

Billy and Karen Vaughn, parents of Navy SEAL Aaron C. Vaughn, started poking around at the “official” story and found not a rat, but a stinking swamp, a coverup that went all the way to the top.
When the Vaughns began trying to drain the swamp, they received what the Obama administration is famous for: the shakedown. None other than one of the highest ranking officers in the nation—Admiral William McRaven, commander at U.S. Special Operations Command—paid the Vaughns a little visit, in essence telling them to keep their mouths shut.

What exactly happened on August 6, 2011? What went wrong—or in this case went right that has the Obama administration dispatching high-ranking officers as thugs?

There are two possibilities, according to information revealed at the press conference:

    1. The Obama administration sent American soldiers on a suicide mission, or

    2. Someone set up our American heroes—that is, had them murdered—that may include the Afghan government—or shockingly may include Barack Hussein Obama himself.

We learned seven major facts at the press conference:

    1. Thirty SEAL Team 6, National Guard, and Army Reserve were packed into a decrepit 1960s era CH-47 helicopter (something, according to military experts, that was unheard of.) Per military experts, special operations were always conducted with the state-of-the-art MH-47 helicopter—the helicopter SEAL Team 6 exclusively trained in. Further, never—ever—were that many special operations personnel packed into a single helicopter. They were always split up into small groups with multiple MH-47s.

    2. Although the military could have easily taken out the Taliban positions with a drone strike prior to the operation, as the families were later told, this was not done because there were possible “friendlies” among the Taliban; the United States wanted to “win the minds and hearts of the enemy.”

Billy Vaughn, father of Navy SEAL Aaron Vaughn, speaking at the press conference with rage in his voice, blasted this ludicrousness:

Aaron did not become a Navy SEAL Team 6 Gold Squad to win the hearts and minds of the Islamic jihadists. He became a Navy SEAL to fight for this republic and defeat the enemy!

    3. Although the military had intel that the Taliban were planning on firing on a helicopter, although an intense battle had been raging for several hours, and although normal protocol mandated that the CH-47 required at least one gunship escort, all normal rules of war were suspended.

But now for the real coverup by the Obama administration:

    4. There were eight nameless Afghan commandos onboard the CH-47. Eight Afghan commandos were loaded onto the CH-47 along with their American counterparts; but at the last minute, they were replaced without changing the manifest. It was as if someone knew they were going on a suicide mission and pulled them out. The official in charge of the investigation (General Jeffrey Colt), in his 1250-page report, did not address this fact and did not even mention it. In fact, it is likely these original Afghan commandos contacted the Taliban, telling themthe CH-47 was on its way. It appears the Taliban knew the exact time and route the CH-47 would be using; that the only way the “lucky shot” would have been possible with the helicopter thousands of feet in the air in cover of darkness would have been if the Taliban had been tipped off.

    5. Everyone on Extortion 17 was immediately cremated without permission from the families, supposedly because the bodies were so badly burned in the crash. According to Charles Strange, father of Navy SEAL Michael Strange, this need to immediately cremate everyone aboard is a complete lie. Taliban on the ground in fact found the bodies of the crew. The Obama administration cremated everyone in order to cover up something.

    6. The CH-47 black box was “lost” according to the military investigation—“washed away by an Afghan flood.” As most know, aircraft black boxes don’t get “lost”; they are virtually indestructible and carry a tracking device that makes them easy to locate. It was “lost” in order to cover up something the Obama administration wants to keep hidden.

    7. Probably one of the most shocking revelations in the SEAL Team 6 coverup, something that was first brought out during the press conference that shows Obama is no Christian but is in fact a closet Muslim, is that Barack Hussein Obama disallowed the name of Jesus to be spoken during the initial military memorial service in Kabul and permitted a radical Islamic iman to curse our dead heroes.

Let every American demand that whatever Barack Obama is hiding, whatever the military brass is hiding, that it be revealed. America must demand that a Congressional investigation drain the swamp of the Obama administration in order to reveal exactly what sickening secret Barack Hussein Obama is covering up. Not next month. Not next week. Not tomorrow. But today.
    Demand an investigation, America.

DIVERSION WON'T WORK: WE WILL NOT FORGET

    SEAL Team VI Extortion 17

    WATCH video at link below:
Navy SEAL Team 6 became a household name when members of the elite unit took out Usama bin Laden. But the same unit suffered tragedy just three months later when a helicopter carrying 30 American troops, most of them members of SEAL Team 6, was blasted out of the sky by Taliban forces in Afghanistan.

Now, the parents of three of the men killed are publicly speaking out and blaming the Obama administration for serious missteps that led to their sons’ deaths. They are pushing for a Congressional investigation.

Karen and Billy Vaughn, the parents of deceased Aaron Vaughn, joined America Live Friday. They’ve uncovered startling facts that they believe show incompetence on the part of the government, including that the forces were flying in outdated aviation equipment from the 1960s and that they flew unescorted, which is not standard protocol.

More than that, they believe that Vice President Biden’s announcement that it was a SEAL team that took down Bin Laden, put a target on the backs of the SEALs.

The Vaughns heard from their son shortly after Biden’s revelation, who said that there was chatter that their lives were in danger. Karen said, “As soon as Joe Biden announced that it was a SEAL Team who took out Bin Laden, within 24 hours, my son called me and I rarely ever heard him sound afraid in his adult life […] And he said, ‘Mom, you need to wipe your social media clean.’” She continued, “The community was very unnerved by that unveiling, so yes, a target got put on their back.”

Billy Vaughn blasted Biden, saying, “The media has let [Joe Biden] get away with saying ‘Uncle Joe’s gaffes.’ This is not Uncle Joe and he’s not some senile old grandfather. He is the second in command of the most powerful country in the world and he needs to take responsibility for the comments he makes and quit being given a pass.”

CIA Revealed Identities of Bin Laden Raid Commandos to Filmmaker

    June 15, 2013

Troops In Bin Laden Raid Revealed

    Lolita C. Baldor
    Associated Press
    June 14, 2013

WASHINGTON—U.S. special operations forces who participated in the raid that killed Osama bin Laden were in uniform and wearing nametags during a CIA award ceremony attended by the writer of the film “Zero Dark Thirty,” a Pentagon inspector general’s report said Friday.
The report, however, omits a number of revelations disclosed in an early draft that was made public more than a week ago, including that then-CIA Director Leon Panetta revealed the name of the raid commander during his speech at the agency’s June 2011 event.
It also no longer includes revelations that the Pentagon’s top intelligence official, Michael Vickers, divulged the name of an individual involved in the bin Laden raid to the filmmakers.
The report was triggered by questions from a congressional lawmaker about whether U.S. officials leaked classified information to the filmmakers and whether they compromised military tactics and procedures. But, in contrast to the draft, the final report focuses exclusively on questions of Pentagon involvement in the matter, and refers other concerns to investigators at other federal agencies — likely a reference to the CIA — and additional reviews by the Pentagon inspector general.
The IG report concludes that it did not identify any instances when sensitive special operations tactics or techniques were provided to filmmakers. But it also found that commandos involved in the raid were readily identifiable during the CIA ceremony.
“We were unable to identify any precautionary measures that were taken to protect the identity of operators that attended this event,” the report said. It added that, according to a commander at the event, the commandos “were in the front row, front, left side, prominently on display for everybody.”
The report found that although a CIA employee told a Pentagon staff member several days before the event that the film’s screenwriter, Mark Boal, could attend, the CIA hoped to prevent him from being there. When, on the day of the event, it turned out that Boal was able to attend, that information never got to Adm. William McRaven, head of U.S. Special Operations Command, or any other troops at the ceremony.
McRaven told the IG that at the end of the ceremony he was introduced to Boal, and “I was admittedly a little surprised.” Another military commander, who was not identified by the report, said McRaven was visibly shocked, and that the military forces at the event tried to stay away from Boal.
The final version of the rport, however, was far less expansive that the unpublished draft report, which was first disclosed by the Project on Government Oversight and confirmed by Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., who asked for the investigation nearly two years ago.
It did not accuse Panetta of wrongdoing. But the draft cited two instances when administration officials divulged the names of individuals involved in the bin Laden operation to the filmmakers. The Oscar-winning movie told the story of the decade-long hunt for the al-Qaida leader and the dark-of-night Navy SEALs raid in which he was killed.
The first instance was a July 15, 2011, interview of Vickers by Boal and the film’s director, Kathryn Bigelow. In that session Vickers gave them the name of a special operations planner whose identity was supposed to be protected from public release, the report draft said.
The second instance was the ceremony at CIA headquarters in which Panetta identified the ground commander of the SEALs raid, with Boal in the audience. The draft report did not say whether Panetta knew Boal was present. But a former agency official, who was present at the ceremony, has said that Panetta did not know Boal was there and assumed that everyone in the audience of at least several hundred people had proper security clearances. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because a security matter was involved and the official wasn’t authorized to be identified.
The draft report said the ground commander’s name was supposed to be protected from public release, under federal law. Although the name was mentioned in Boal’s presence, Boal did not subsequently use the name in any public manner. The draft also said without further explanation that Panetta “also provided (Defense Department) information identified by original classification authorities as top secret.”
The final report released Friday talked at length about emails and conversations between defense officials about allowing a special operations planner speak on background with the filmmakers — without using his name — but that a meeting never actually happened.

Extortion 17: A Bridge to Benghazi

A lot of people believe Joe Biden is responsible for the deaths of the SEAL Team 6 members who killed Osama Bin Laden. On May 3, 2011, two days after that raid, Biden publicly identified them to the Atlantic Council, at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington D.C. In a brazen, public act of treachery he said:

“Let me briefly acknowledge tonight’s distinguished honorees: Adm. Jim Stavridis is the real deal; he could tell you more about and understands the incredible, the phenomenal, the just almost unbelievable capacity of his Navy SEALS and what they did last — last Sunday.”

What Joe Biden did was a huge breach of trust that caused the death of some of our bravest American heroes. Unfortunately, he has not been held accountable. Why would he “out” SEAL Team 6 to the world, knowing that he was signing their death warrants? Was it on purpose or was it just one of his blunders? If it was only a “slip of the tongue”, then he actually must be as stupid as he appears in public, and he should be removed from office and face criminal charges. If it was for a more nefarious reason, he should be impeached, trialed, and imprisoned. Either way, like every other crime perpetrated in Washington D.C., he will get a pass on this.In a May 10, 2013 interview on Fox News’ America Live with Megyn Kelly, the parents of murdered SEAL Team Six member Aaron Vaughn discussed their son’s anxiety following Biden’s disclosure, “As soon as Joe Biden announced that it was a SEAL Team who took out Bin Laden, within 24 hours, my son called me and I rarely heard him ever sound afraid in his adult life,” said Karen Vaughn.

She described his tone in that conversation as “extraordinarily serious.” “Mom, you need to wipe your social media clean. You need to get everything off of it now.” When she asked what was wrong, he explained: “Mom, there is chatter and your life is in danger. Our lives are in danger. So clean it up right now.”

It was unsettling. “The community was very unnerved by that unveiling. So yes, a target got put on their back, and it got put on the back of every group that would work with SEAL Team Six,” said Mrs. Vaughn.

On August 6, 2011, three months after Joe Biden betrayed SEAL Team 6, the Taliban shot down a helicopter carrying SEALS in Afghanistan under unusual circumstances. The families of our fallen heroes believe the government was negligent by putting such a large group of SEALS on one aircraft. Thirty seven people, including SEAL Team 6, National Guard, and Army Reserve, and seven Afghans were packed into an old 1960s era CH-47 troop carrier helicopter, which is bigger and more cumbersome than the chopper they normally used. This helicopter was designed to transport troops and equipment, not to go into battle, and had not been retrofitted since 1985.They usually split special forces teams up onto two different aircraft. SEAL Team 6 trained and did all its special operations in the state-of-the-art MH-47 helicopter, but that fateful day they were all crammed into the old CH-47, that may as well have had a target on it. These families want to know why they were all put on the same helicopter rather than split up on two, and why they used the troop carrier instead of their usual helicopter.Their questions have gone unanswered for nearly two years, and when the government speaks it lies. For example, there’s the question of, “Why they didn’t return fire?’ The Department Of Defense lied to Congressman Tom Rooney R-FL when he asked them this question. They told him, “The reason we didn’t return fire was because we didn’t know where the shots came from.”

Karen Vaughn reported that even in the pitch black, General Colt told the families they could see two men on the rooftop. “They call up the Afghan administration to find out at two o’clock in the morning what these guys are doing on the building.” They knew immediately that the shots had come from the top of a building.

After attending a 5 hour military briefing explaining the ‘lucky shot’, that took out Extortion 17, and what happened that day their son died, Billy and Karen Vaughn realized something wasn’t right, and started doing their own research. During this briefing the DOD gave them a CD containing documents relating to events surrounding the crash. They did exactly what the DOD did not expect them to do. They studied and poured over them so they could understand everything they could about what happened. They discovered the government considered the mission they sent them on to be so dangerous that the decision whether or not to go had to be made by a Commander outside of the theater. To this day nobody knows who gave that order or why. When asked why the SEALS even went on the mission, some people told them it was necessary, and others said it wasn’t.

Several Rangers and SEALS explained to the Vaughns, that for all of them to get on one chopper they must have had information that said they had to leave quickly without having time to get a second helicopter.Once they started digging, they found out that SEAL Team 6 had no cover fire, and did not return fire because of the “Rules of Engagement”. They are not allowed to shoot back at the enemy when they are under attack. Rules of Engagement are“ rules or directives to military forces (including individuals) that define the circumstances, conditions, degree, and manner in which force, or actions which might be construed as provocative.”

American forces were not permitted to take out the attackers. The families were told new Rules of Engagement which dictated that we couldn’t shoot down any attacker even after being attacked because as one high-ranking admiral put it to Billy Vaughn, “We want to win their hearts and minds.” A lot of good American men and women have died under Barack Obama, because of his desire to “win the minds and hearts of the enemy”.

The rules of engagement our troops are using are getting Americans killed. The self professed Muslim, Barack Obama, allowed the funeral to be held in Kabul where a Muslim cleric recited a prayer over the bodies that supposedly confined them to eternal damnation as infidels. He may not have personally given the order for this to happen, but he has set the conditions and protocols that caused it.

This was the largest loss of life in a single day since the war in Afghanistan began. The 1250 page military report called it a lucky shot by the Taliban. The families of those murdered and military experts at a press conference held on May 9, 2013, this is a lie among a lot of other lies. After the Vaughns started poking around into the buried facts, on January 4th, one of the highest ranking officers in the nation—Admiral William McRaven, commander at U.S. Special Operations Command—paid the Vaughns a visit telling them to keep their mouths shut. Karen Vaughn tells about this visit, “The most shocking thing we experienced is that he lied to us so continuously that if we had not studied our documentation and known the truth he would have made a mockery of everything our sons died to represent. It got to be actually embarrassing.”

Exactly what happened on August 6, 2011?

What went wrong? Although the military could have easily used a drone to take out the Taliban positions before the operation started as they later told the families, they didn’t because there were possible “friendlies” among the Taliban. The United States wanted to “win the minds and hearts of the enemy.”

Billy Vaughn, spoke at the press conference and said:

“Aaron did not become a Navy SEAL Team 6 Gold Squad to win the hearts and minds of the Islamic jihadists. He became a Navy SEAL to fight for this republic and defeat the enemy!”

Karen Vaughn told us, on Conservative Nation Radio:

“This is not about politics. This is about men and women who bravely, fearlessly, volunteer to go serve our nation and then they’re served up to the enemy for our guise of political correctness. It’s not acceptable.”

Another thing that is not acceptable is that the military knew as early as May 11, 2011 that in the Tangeen Valley in Afghanistan, as many as 100 Taliban waited, ready to shoot down SEAL Team 6. Our leaders knew that the Taliban was planning on firing on a helicopter and they were gunning for our Navy SEALS. Although a fierce battle had been raging for several hours, and conventional protocol mandated that the CH-47 required at least one gunship escort, they suspended all normal rules of war. Because of the Rules of Engagement soldiers on accompanying aircraft couldn’t do anything and just watched in horror as Extortion 17 was destroyed. There were seven Afghan men on board the CH-47 who slipped in at the last minute and replaced seven others who they removed. They never even changed the manifest. Were seven Afghan commandos loaded onto the CH-47 along with their American counterparts?

It was as if someone knew they were going on a suicide mission and pulled them out. The official report didn’t address this nor did it mention it. It is suspected that the Afghans alerted the Taliban that the CH-47 was on its way. The Taliban had to have known the exact time and route used by the CH-47. When the Vaughn’s tried to find out who gave the order to remove the seven Afghans and replace them with the seven unnamed ones, nobody knew, though it was reported that it was an American officer.

They cremated all of the bodies without permission from the families. They said this was because the bodies were so badly burned in the crash. According to Charles Strange, father of Navy SEAL Michael Strange, this need to cremate everyone aboard is a lie. In fact, Taliban on the ground found the bodies of the crew. Did the Obama administration cremated everyone in order to cover up something? They told the families the CH-47 black box was “lost” according to the military investigation, “washed away by an Afghan flood.” As most people know, aircraft black boxes don’t get lost. They are nearly indestructible and carry a tracking device that makes them easy to find.

When Conservative Nation Radio asked Billy and Karen Vaughn what it would take to protect our men and women in the armed forces, they responded with two things. First, they said we need a Congressional hearing on Extortion 17 to get the facts out. That is the only way the families will have peace, and the nation can be sure that our enemy won’t shoot another aircraft full of our bravest out of the sky to cover someone else’s crimes or lies.

Second, they said we need a Congressional hearing over all the Rule of Engagement for all our military. The Rules of Engagement come from the White House, and the only way to change those deadly rules is to get Congress involved.

Karen says, “We were recently told by a Special Forces operator that under the current ROE’s if the enemy fires on you, then runs back behind a rock, when he pops his head up from behind the rock you’re not allowed to engage him unless you can verify that he has not laid his gun down. In other words, you must be fired on twice now or your actions will be questioned by your government when you try to defend yourself or the lives of your teammates. You even run the risk of criminal charges.”

I don’t know about you, but I know most of us don’t send our children, husbands, and fathers, off to win the hearts and minds of people whose sole purpose in life is to kill us. Barack Obama has successfully demoralized almost every part of our nation. He is dismantling our military, piece by piece. We need new Rules of Engagement, and like Karen Vaughn said, “these come from the White House.” It’s time to fight for our military so they can once again fight for us.

A Scandal That Goes Deeper Than Benghazi: Congress To Probe Lethal Crash That Killed Seal Team 6 Members

Posted by: Matt Liponoga Posted date: July 26, 2013

The August 6, 2011 Chinook shootdown in eastern Afghanistan is considered the worst loss of U.S. military life in the war-torn country since the Operation Red Wings in 2005. The crash killed all 38 people on board– twenty-five Navy SEALs, five U.S. Army National Guard and Army Reserve crewmen, seven Afghan commandos, one Afghan interpreter, and a U.S. military dog.

The families felt their sons were purposely targeted by the Taliban after the Obama administration confirmed that it was the Navy SEALs Team 6 who killed Osama bin Laden three months earlier. WND reported that the families also questioned the sudden replacement of seven Afghan commandos on board the helicopter just before take-off. As it turned out, the seven Afghan commandos killed in the helicopter shootdown were not the seven listed in the flight manifest. To this day, none of them know who those dead Afghans were.

Bill Vaughn, father of killed Navy SEAL Aaron Vaugh, said the SEALs were ferried by a Vietnam-era Chinook helicopter rather than their customary state-of-the-art special forces choppers, and the Taliban must have seen that as the perfect opportunity to target the troops.

As many questions remain unanswered, such as why the helicopter’s black box was never recovered, the families couldn’t help but believe that the attack was carefully planned and not just a result of a random “lucky shot” as what U.S. military officials had been telling them.

Congress has now launched an investigation of the helicopter crash that killed 30 Americans in Afghanistan, including members of the Navy’s elite SEAL Team 6 unit, The Hill has reported.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee on National Security, told The Hill, “We’re going to dive into this.”

    The Hill Reports:
Chaffetz said he met with the victims’ families about a month ago in what he described as an “emotional” gathering. He is poised to send questions to the Pentagon and may hold hearings on the matter.

Charlie Strange, whose son Michael was among those killed, said he asked President Obama two years ago at Dover Air Force Base to fully investigate. The death toll in the crash was the largest of any single incident for the U.S. military during the Afghanistan war.

Obama praised Michael’s service to Strange, who responded, “I don’t need to know about my son. I need to know what happened to my son.”

The president promised he would investigate, Strange said, but he never heard back from the White House. The Pentagon, meanwhile, has provided him and others with incomplete and contradictory information, he said.

Administration leaks that emerged after the bin Laden raid prompted members of Team 6 to worry about their safety.

For example, Michael Strange told his father he was working on a will before he returned to Afghanistan in the summer of 2011, his father said.

Documents provided to the families indicate that the Pentagon doesn’t believe the SEALs were targeted in the wake of the bin Laden operation on May 1, 2011.

In a transcript, a Department of Defense official disputed claims that there was an “established ambush.” The official states, “it was a lucky shot of a low-level fighter that happened to be living [in the area]. He heard all the activity and he happened to be in the right spot.”

Yet, Strange says insurgents were boasting on the Internet they had taken out Team 6 shortly after the helicopter crashed.

Shortly before the CH-47 Chinook helicopter took off on a rescue mission (operation Extortion 17), seven Afghan commandos who were on the passenger list were replaced by other Afghan military officials.

It remains unclear why the manifest was incorrect, raising red flags among the victims’ families. They have noted that their sons didn’t trust Afghan soldiers. One was quoted as saying, “They are loyal to the highest bidder.”

In the transcript related to the Pentagon’s probe, a Defense official confirmed that all seven names of the Afghan soldiers were incorrect.

The official said, “I cannot talk to the back story of why…” before being interrupted by another Department of Defense employee.

The Chinook was shot down by Afghan militants, and all 38 on board perished. Among the dead were 30 Americans, including 22 Navy SEALS, seven Afghan soldiers and one Afghan translator.

Their bodies were later recovered, but the helicopter’s black box was not
. Pentagon officials have said that it could not be recovered, citing a flash flood that happened soon after the assault.

All the bodies were cremated. The Pentagon has defended the cremation to the soldiers’ families, saying the bodies were badly burned.

Chaffetz, however, said he has seen a photo of a deceased SEAL that was not.

The body I saw didn’t need to be cremated,” Chaffetz said, adding that the Department of Defense’s explanation of its failure to find the helicopter’s black box seems “awfully odd.”

The Utah congressman said the families deserve answers: “That’s why you do an investigation. I want to be as factual as I can.”

Two soldiers from Chaffetz’s district were killed in the attack.

Strange said he has visited Capitol Hill to discuss the issue with several members, including his own congressman, Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.).

He has also met with Chaffetz and Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.).

Some of the victims’ families are being represented by Freedom Watch, which is headed by Larry Klayman.

“This is a scandal even greater than Benghazi,” Klayman said. “There we lost four valued American lives; here we sacrificed 30 American soldiers. The big question is were these brave Americans sold out by the Afghani government as payment to the Taliban for the death of bin Laden?”

Klayman, Strange and others have questioned why so many special ops were on one aircraft that they claim was not equipped for such a dangerous mission. They also want to know why members of Team 6 weren’t looked after just months after the bin Laden operation.

Strange said, “There was no eye in the sky tracking [the Chinook]. Why not?”

Klayman said, “The tragedy of Extortion 17 is a tragedy for all Americans. When we do not protect our brave fighting men and women, we put their lives in harm’s way…”

It is unclear how many of the 22 SEALS who died that summer were part of the bin Laden operation in Pakistan. One source said there were at least a couple who were involved in both.

Chaffetz says he is looking into how the Pentagon handled the situation post-attack.

During a ceremony at Bagram Air Base for the 38 killed, the deceased Afghan soldiers were loaded onto planes with the bodies of the U.S. forces. An imam spoke an Islamic prayer that included language on U.S. soldiers burning in hell.

The families later used translators to find out what the imam had said.

Chaffetz called those series of events “inappropriate.”

“My son Michael died,” Strange said. “I want to know, who made these calls?”

He is confident Chaffetz, Fitzpatrick and Issa will find out: “I know they are going to get answers.”
