Thread: Obama Press Conference: Amnesty still out in front

Obama, has just announced at a live press conference that he wants "bi-partisan" cooperation on immigration policy that is "fair."

And what is "fair" about letting millions more illegal aliens stream in here or 12 million or more stay, when there are more than that many Americans currently unemployed?

What is "fair" when our social services are being stripped clean, and state after state is declaring financial emergencies?

Obama said that Republicans "don't even have to meet us halfway" but just a "quarter" would do because he has enough Democrat votes to pass a "fair" immigration policy.

Basically he just repeated the mantra of a slap on the wrist and then letting them all stay plus as many more who stream in here in the meantime. And he said nothing about stemming the flood of their relatives who will come if amnesty passes. Or what to do about a broken Social Security system that threatens the security of future American generations as our domestic social safety net is stretched ever further to accomodate free loading foreign citizens.

Pandering to Latino voters and placing the welfare of Mexico and its citizens ahead of his constituents.
