Rush Limbaugh explored Obama's www.change.gov website and Obama's IMMIGRATION PLAN.

Since Obama's Immigration Plan was reported upon - OBAMA HAS REMOVED THE IMMIGRATION PLAN FROM HIS WEBSITE.

Well......the stats for how effective raids are is a little out-dated especially since they weren't doing much of anything then.

On the bright side.....it's not a blanket amnesty......it's just a question as to what "in good standing" means and how through they do any checks. Also glad to see a push for learning English to enforce the idea that we do have a common language......English.

It would be wise of him to put his illegals agenda on the back burner with the BAD economy and all the unemployed Americans who need jobs . Trying to give illegals out of work Americans jobs right now would be really dumb.

Destruction!

1. The number of illegals picked up in raids is only one measurement of its effectiveness. The number of illegal aliens who leave the country because they fear being caught is also a factor, and those numbers are more compelling.

2. Secure the borders. OK
3. Go after employers who deliberately hire illegal aliens. Good. But what about support for permanent, mandatory e-verify?
4. Bring in legal immigrants to fill job vacancies. OK, but what system will be used to confirm that the vacancies are indeed real? What system will be used to monitor visa status to ensure no visa holder stays past the visa expiration date? This is major, because my understanding is that half or more of illegal aliens in the country originally came in legally under one of the visa programs.
5. Reform existing immigration bureaucracy, keep families together. Sounds like amnesty to me. Now if this means instead that we are going to do away with making babies born to illegal aliens in the US automatic citizens, and therefore when mom and pop get sent back to their country of origin junior goes with them, I am all for this reform.


All in all, with no plan for e-verify, no management / monitoring of the visa program, and no plans to address anchor babies, this looks at best like business as usual.
