With each report of a new terror threat that floods the media outlets, we have become overwhelmed and in a constant state of panic, which I would not doubt this current administration relishes. There is a growing concern of terror in the skies again, and I am sure it is no coincidence that it is right before the 9/11 anniversary, considering the recent reports that the Islamic State has seized close to two dozen aircraft in Tripoli, Libya.
With all that’s going on, we now have a new threat to concern ourselves with, which comes to us by sea and has been reported to be on a gigantic scale. The Washington Times reports that intelligence experts have been receiving information that there may be terrorists training in the United States on oil tankers. Yes, you heard that correct. There is the possibility that terror agents are receiving training on massive oil tankers that could cause significant damage to our environment and our seaports.

U.S. intelligence agencies last month reported that a group of 22 Yemeni-Americans were training in Houston to be seamen on oil tankers, raising terrorism concerns over the unusual activity.
The Department of Homeland Security issued an Aug. 26 report from its National Terrorism Advisory System about the case.
“Reporting revealed that 22 students of Middle Eastern descent from Michigan and California were enrolled in recent maritime training courses in Houston, TX to obtain training, licensing, and/or mariner ratings during calendar year 2014,” the report said. “All students were naturalized U.S. citizens from Yemen.

Security officials have been keeping a close eye on men of Yemen decent. In recent years, there has been two failed terrorist attacks on U.S. aircraft that were attributed to the al Qaeda terrorist group.
Also, from the Washington Times report:

The [DHS] report said the U.S. government received confidential information from intelligence sources indicating suspicions about the Yemeni-Americans attending the seamanship classes. Most of the men were from Dearborn, Michigan, and their training in Texas was considered unusual because other marine training schools are located closer to Michigan.
An investigation revealed that all the students worked on oil carriers in the Great Lakes and came to Texas because similar schools in Michigan had closed. Twenty of the students were from Dearborn, and two were from Oakland, California.

Unfortunately, this all can become a dark reality since we know that it is possible for a tanker to be easily overtaken as we have seen in the past with the Somalian pirates. Considering this administration has no current strategy to deal with the impending crisis of ISIS, do you really think they have one for this threat? It truly is up to the American people to protect ourselves and make others aware. With Obama at the helm, we’re on our own.
