Illegal Immigration: it's just plum rude

Without question all the hard-hitting percentages and facts that illustrate why illegal immigration is detriminetal to America are undeniable... but lately, I've been thinking about my position on an "emotional" level.

I know... I know. That's really ALL the other side's argument is, but I really wanted to figure out why, exactly, this issue peeves me so much.

And, well, I thought about it. And I realized something: I would never even consider visiting a country, much less living there, without respecting their rules and culture. And if I did move to another country I certainly wouldn't expect them to cater to my needs and wants, especially above the people who already live there. In fact, I wouldn't feel any entitlement at all, at least for a good long while. I would keep my head down, and try my darnedest to earn their respect.

And that’s exactly what many legal immigrants to America feel, too. In fact, I believe that many of the people that have taken the time, filled out the paperwork, stood in line and taken the test to come here end up being some of the best Americans we have. It seems that they really, truly understand how important it is. They show respect.

But this isn't the case here. Illegals and their supporters operate on a different level. And we're being told that it's okay. These people don't have a choice! America has a duty to do something about it! It’s an extremely sad and warped view of how life works… but Oh, the humanity!!!

You know, while I certainly believe the downtrodden amongst us deserve our sympathy and in many cases our aid and direct support, I believe there is a right and wrong way of doing that. Being needy is not an excuse for being disrespectful.

What it boils down to, for me, is the sheer gall of these people insinuating themselves into our country. It leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. Very bad. And the throngs of people supporting them, and insisting that there's nothing at all wrong with it, and calling us racists and xenophobes for simply wanting our laws enforced frankly makes me sad and angry. Not just because they’re wrong, but because they, too, have absolutely no respect for their neighbors and fellow citizens, and more importantly, for America.

We have class. We are gentlemen. We show respect. And I think America deserves that. From everyone.

    Amen!

By soiling the rule of law in the United States, they are undermining the foundation of the success of this nation. They are destroying very reason they came here.
"We have a sacred, noble obligation in this country to defend the rule
of law. Without rule of law, without democracy, without rule of law being
applied without fear or favor, there is no freedom."

They are definately rude for "imposing" themselves! ...and they certainly don't have respect for America or Americans...that is clear to see by taking full advantage of benefits that don't belong to them ...even though politicians that would betray the citizens of this country would fight that they get them...and dropping babies as if they have a "red carpet" account!!
Please help save America for our children and grandchildren... they are counting on us. THEY DESERVE the goodness of AMERICA not to be given to those who are stealing our children's future! ... and a congress who works for THEM!

When living in other countries, I always tried to find an individual to help me learn the langugage. I was always polite and respective of the culture, even in countries where I didn't believe in the rules. I have worn shawls covering my face when I left a base. I have bowed to seniors before meeting and after. All trying to show respect. Oh yes, I always made sure that my visas and passports were in order.

What makes the world think that they need not show the same respect for Americans. Our presidents and politicans say they don't have to.

Never in my life would I believe that I would become so passionate about an issue as I have become about giving criminal aliens amnesty. As far as I can see most of the senators, the president, and the house democrats along with house RINOs have given American respect away.

    My feelings exactly Edstate!!

The invasion we're experiencing is the height of belligerence. They don't come here to work, they come for the freebee's! Whether it's right or wrong is of no consequence. They have no sense of morality, no accoutability.

You here all the personal stories of how the invaders are blocking isles in stores and will not even acknowledge your presence when you politely ask them to move.

They exhibit complete disrespect for for America and it's people as they gleefully overrun the country.
