Pentagon Religious Advisor Calls Evangelical Christian Troops “Traitors” & “Spiritual Rapists”

The epic American journalist, Edward R. Murrow, once said, “A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves.”

His words seem to be springing to life this week as a wolf named Mikey Weinstein was appointed as a Pentagon Adviser on matters of “religious toleration.”

Weinstein’s selection as an adviser means that the word “toleration” actually means elimination. Mr. Weinstein is the President of The Military Religious Freedom Foundation.

Mikey told the Huffington Post that he founded the organization, “To do one thing: fight those monsters who would tear down the Constitutionally-mandated wall separating church and state in …the U.S. military.”

The “Monsters” that the new Pentagon adviser spoke of are evangelical Christians in the military who desire to share their faith with their fellow servicemen. Further, he labels mainstream Conservative Evangelical organizations like the American Family Association, Family Research Council, and the Chaplains Alliance for Religious Liberty hate groups.
When speaking about soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines sharing their faith in uniform, Weinstein told Defense Secretary Hagel and the Washington Post:

“This is a national security threat. What is happening…is spiritual rape and what the Pentagon needs to understand is that it is sedition and treason. It should be punished.”

One of Weinstein’s Board Members, Former Ambassador Joe Wilson, told the Secretary of Defense and other military leaders, “You need half a dozen court-martials real quick.”

The bottom line here is that a man who calls Evangelical Christians “monsters” is now helping the Pentagon craft policies for “religious toleration.” This same man, a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy – Mikey Weinstein wants to court martial American citizens for sharing their faith in uniform.

What cannot be missed here is that a court martial is a trial for criminal offenses in the military. This man is advising that Pentagon criminalize Christian evangelism in the Armed Forces and label that crime “sedition” and/or “treason.”

The Uniform Code of Military Justice says that sedition and/or treason during time of war can be punished with a death sentence!

Weinstein is famous for being the Grinch who stole Christmas gifts from poor children who would have received them from Air Force Cadets participating in Operation Christmas Child back in 2011. His organization got involved when Christian cadets asked other cadets to give toys to children at Christmas to share God’s love with kids in need.

Mikey’s problem was that Operation Christmas Child is a Franklin Graham project and Mikey said that Billy Graham’s son “Is a fundamentalist – a total enemy of the Constitution – an absolutely incredible Islamophobe.” Weinstein won his case and the children lost toys they would have otherwise received had Weinstein tolerated anyone’s point of view other than his own.

While Weinstein has been successful many times before, only time will tell if he will be successful at convincing Secretary Hagel that Evangelical Christian servicemen should be court-martialed for living out the Great Commission.
