    You heard it again this week. Obama's bad showing in the polls is due to Fox News. He says some people don't like him because he's black.

    The impulse for his opponents is to call him out about this. They go on the defensive and publish long explanations about how they are not racist.

    Extensive panel discussions clog the airwaves to debate just how fair and balanced Fox News is.

    And probably the President laughs all the way to the White House.

    The President's clever, covert little ploy is an old tactic used by politicians since time immemorial. It is a version of the Karpman Triangle. *

    It is a means to quiet or remove discourse, debate and criticism by playing the victim, and prompting opponents and critics to withdraw, withhold, and be silenced.

    Obama no more believes that his unpopularity is Fox News' fault, than he believes in the man in the moon.

    He is no more a victim of racism than Stalin was a victim of Socialism, and he knows it.

    Obama has an agenda, and he's sticking to it, and he's using every clever propaganda technique at his disposal to do so.

    The Victim game requires three players: The "persecutor," the "rescuer," and the "victim." The player invites you to play "Victim" by assuming the role of one who is persecuted, and those that are sucked into the game assume, either the "rescuer" role (his cronies), or the "persecutor" role, his opposition.

    The "persecutors" go off to argue how they are not guilty of persecuting him, go on the defensive, and spend time, money, and effort to convince one and all that they are not persecuting him. The rescuers... well, they are there to rescue and defend him.

    To the extent that the game affects "the players," they can get "stuck" in the game; that is, a persecutor can get stuck in the role of persecutor, and spend an inordinate amount of time attempting to extract himself from the role. Similarly a person can be compelled to be a rescuer and get stuck in that role also. This is only a brief explanation of this "game" as it applies to its use in propaganda/psy-ops and methods to manipulate public opinion and the efforts of political adversaries.

    How do you not fall prey to this "game?"

    1. Stay out of the game.

    2. Spot the Persecutor, Rescuer, Victim roles, and don't succumb to the temptation of assuming any of the "roles."

    3. Refuse to get into the distractions of the PRV game, and stay on point: Your Point.

    4. The point of the "the game" is to avoid responsibility and accountability, so: Continue to be relentless in assigning responsibility and accountability.

    5. At all times do not back off; do not be the "victim" of government targeting, Obama administration repression. Exercise your freedoms, your First Amendment rights. Do not be silenced.

    In the last week alone Barack Hussein Obama Jr. has once again blamed someone else for HIS dismal failures. Let’s review just who he blamed in only the last few days shall we?
    Earlier this week in the New Yorker, President Obama suggested his approval ratings are down because America is full of racists (the same racists who elected him, twice). Now, bonus excerpts from the same article by David Remnick show President Obama blaming his failures on Fox News while accusing the network, “conservative media” and Rush Limbaugh of turning him into a “caricature. “The president also complained that conservative media had created a “caricature” of him divorced from “reality” that made rallying voters from those areas particularly difficult. “The issue has been the inability of my message to penetrate the Republican base so that they feel persuaded that I’m not the caricature that you see on Fox News or Rush Limbaugh, but I’m somebody who is interested in solving problems and is pretty practical, and that, actually, a lot of the things that we’ve put in place worked better than people might think,” Obama said.
    “Conservative Media”? I thought the Main Stream Media (literately everybody BUT Fox) has virtually given him a pass on every single move he’s made from day one.

    Mr. Obama, in the above list alone, blamed former president George W. Bush fifteen times! After going down the list, the words by our president “I’m somebody who is interested in solving problems and is pretty practical,” just don’t seem to mean very much – do they ?

    I’m used to being called a “racist” because I don’t like Barack Obama OR his many Marxist policies by democrats, Liberals, Marxists, OWSers, Chris Mathews, Melissa Harris Perry and so on and so forth. But let’s get real for a moment; Obama WANTED the job as president, nobody forced it on him so- why all the complaining? Frankly I’m overly tired of Obama blaming everybody but himself. Only a spoiled child, who has never had any limits put on him, or who has never heard the word “No,” acts like Barack Obama.

    Hey Mr. President…..it’s time to “Cowboy-up” and be a man, so quit blaming everybody else!

    Barack Obama is a practical person interested in solving problems? Is that why he told Congress last week that he's "got a pen" and executive power he isn't afraid to use it if they don't do what he wants? A reminder:
    With his newly announced overhaul of National Security Agency surveillance activities, President Obama has once again hit a nerve with members of Congress on both sides of the aisle.

    The president, as he often does when facing a nettlesome problem, used his executive powers to implement changes.

    Obama signaled at a recent Cabinet meeting, though, that more executive actions are likely ahead.

    "I've got a pen and I've got a phone -- and I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take executive actions and administrative actions that move the ball forward," Obama said. He suggested he could use his phone to try and bring people together.

    New poll numbers released this week by Quinnipiac show the majority of the country views Obama as untrustworthy and dishonest. Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and conservative media didn't lie to millions of Americans by telling them they could keep their health insurance plans under Obamacare. In fact, all of these media outlets warned of the opposite years before the Obamacare exchanges were launched on October 1, 2013.

    The complainer in chief is opining, whining and haranguing with George Bush fading too far into the background to blame; would he give his kingdom for a single national distraction imagined or real.

    With the latest distractions dismally failing to turn America’s attention away from the top flops of the hour, Obamacare and Benghazi, Mr. Obama has pulled out the race card, old stand-by economic inequality, and finally with nothing left in reserve, its Rush-Bo and Fox-Bo that have got to go.

    Memories of Joe Piscopo and Robin Duke playing in the 1998 SNL skit known as ‘Doug and Wendy Whiner’ are what come to mind, after which it is still too hard to crack a laugh. It is no laughing matter to see someone holding the highest public office in the land acting like a bedraggled school kid who can’t understand that it is all the other students who don’t like him, not just a few of the more vociferous and outgoing kind.

    Polls have the President’s approval ratings teetering in the mid to high thirties, but that doesn’t seem to register with this president.

    The unpopularity of Obamacare and almost everything else the president has done is a matter of the people. That he does not see this yet makes us all feel just a little stupid – it is hard to garner respect for someone who makes you feel like a dumbbell.

    Is this something Obama cannot allow himself to ponder?

    Are we being harsh, disrespectful or unreasonable? Or are we simply amazed that the evidence of failure is being transmogrified, shape shifted and then fed back to us as in a way that says ‘you Americans are really stupid?’

    I can be kind of dumb at times and as a journalist I’ve seen that all Americans, at times, may qualify as cantankerous, difficult, opinionated and obstructive. But now we are like the woman trying to resist the passes of the unwanted suitor, but no, no and more no’s are falling on deaf ears.

    Is it strange that for the first time in our history we might be doubtful that Lincoln’s declaration that government of, by, and for the people may actually, during the present administration, perish from the earth?

    Is the president philosophically challenged by the idea that when he promised that America would be ‘fundamentally changed’ that for most of us, things that are fundamental are also foundational. When the foundations of any construct are knocked out, that edifice has only one way to go – down. Are we to be scolded for not wanting our foundations to crumble and our future destroyed?

    Let’s examine what is now Obama’s best presentation of fundamental change.

    Babies (55 million already gone) will still not be allowed to live if moms want to chuck them in the little white buckets and plastic lined receptacles labeled ‘medical waste.’

    Marriage will not be limited to one man and one woman, to spite 238 years of American heritage, warnings from the bible, and worldwide traditions that go back for millennia.

    Tax dollars will be given to bailout companies, that otherwise may have to go the foundationally sound way of re-organization called - bankruptcy.

    Second amendment rights will be shot down for any and all reasons, but no one will be shooting any guns in America, at least not those law abiding kind.

    Countless documents and pieces of art in full profusion that declare in no uncertain terms that America was founded by Christians and on Christian principles will be ignored. We will be declared a Muslim nation.

    Keystone pipeline and most exploration for the black gold or shale will be deferred, denied or suspended in EPA red tape until Arab nations stop announcing the price per barrel because we are all draped over the barrel rolling down to the cliff marked ‘too late.’

    If border patrolmen, good soldiers or ambassadors should die while the heads of state obfuscate and come in late we will be satisfied to watch the passing of the buck until it disappears into the abyss where all scandals get sucked into the black hole called the oval office, – there to be lost in the ages of time.

    If you like your doctor you can…need I say more? ObamaCare is impossible to reconcile to anything this nation has ever been or hopes to be. The fact that the word ‘repeal’ is still listed in our dictionaries sends faint echoes of hope to us all.

    The list is not comprehensive because it would entail more of the drivel we have gotten accustomed to in these last five years’ worth of ‘fundamental change.’ Is there anyone left who still believes in it?

    No, Mr. Obama, America does not want foundational change masked and presented incognito as fundamental change. It is far too expensive – it will cost us everything we have.

    What’s more is that, we don’t think for a minute that all or any part of this belongs to Rush Limbaugh and Fox Cable News.

    THE OBAMA ‘RECOVERY’ GOES LIMP AGAIN

    For five years and counting, Obama apologists have assured us that the economy is “poised” for recovery. It’s going to happen any day now – just you wait and see. The period from 2009 to the present represents the weakest post-recession period ever. We’ve grown accustomed to the nauseating spectacle of the Administration celebrating slight dips in the headline unemployment rate cause almost entirely by people giving up and dropping out of the workforce entirely. But soon the big recovery will begin! Every modestly optimistic monthly statistic, even those which are clearly anomalous, is heralded as a sign of Recovery’s impending arrival, while every setback is reported by a puzzled media as “unexpected.”
    Time for those media brows to furrow deeply again, as the Associated Press reports an important metric of future growth falling right off a cliff, on the eve of the State of the Union address:
    Businesses cut back sharply on their orders for long-lasting manufactured goods in December with a key category that signals business investment plans falling by the biggest amount in five months.
    Orders for durable goods fell 4.3 percent in December compared with November, when orders had risen 2.6 percent, the Commerce Department reported Tuesday. The weakness was led by a big 17.5 percent drop in the volatile category of commercial aircraft.
    There was widespread weakness in a number of categories including a 1.3 percent decline in demand for non-defense capital goods excluding aircraft. This category is viewed as a proxy for business investment plans.
    Some of the December weakness probably reflected a temporary dip following November’s big jump which had been driven by businesses rushing to take advantage of expiring tax breaks.
    The December decline came as a surprise to economists. The consensus view among economists was that orders would post a moderate rise reflecting what they believe is an improving outlook for U.S. manufacturers
    In the great airport lounge where America waits for Recovery to come trundling down the concourse with her suitcase full of jobs and prosperity, every flight status just flipped to “Delayed” again. Oh, well, might as well mosey over to the Starbucks and grab a frappucino while we wait for her. They take EBT cards, right?
    This doesn’t seem terribly surprising, or at least not very complicated. Expiring tax breaks inspired businesses to build up inventory and place some bets on a turnaround – an anomaly partially created by government policy, which the media generally interpreted as an in-flight call from Recovery saying that her plane was ahead of schedule and she might even get here in time for lunch, so we should check the airport amenities to see if they’ve got a Chili’s with an open table.
    Now those business managers are feeling “cautious” instead of optimistic, as an economist quoted by the AP describes them. Interestingly, consumer demand for major items like cars and houses is still decent, but the corporate world is not behaving as though it expects that demand to hold up, or extend to other markets. Maybe they’re getting ready for the great second wave of ObamaCare chaos, which is going to eat away a lot of disposable income from middle-class families who suddenly learn their old insurance has been canceled, and expensive ObamaCare policies with high deductibles are the only alternative. And new housing sales were actually quite disappointing at the end of 2013, although this was widely attributed to bad weather. Recovery’s plane runs into a lot of weather delays.
    The AP says economists are still “hoping” for a turnaround in 2014, although that’s not quite the same thing as predicting one.
    Economists are hoping that 2014 will mark a turning point for an economy that has performed at sub-par rates for much of the time since the recession ended in June 2009. Many analysts are forecasting the economy will grow by around 3 percent in 2014, up by a full percentage point from 2013.
    Much of the hope for a better 2014 reflects a belief that the federal government will be less of a drag this year. In 2013, higher taxes and across-the-board spending cuts trimmed about 1.5 percentage points from growth.
    That may seem like an odd sentence, but yes, both tax increases and spending cuts depress the official measurement of GDP growth. That’s because government spending is counted as part of our Gross Domestic Product. Uncle Sam is the nation’s largest buyer, employer, “investor,” and landlord, you know. You can’t just leave him out of the GDP, even though he spends a lot of pink and blue deficit dollars emblazoned with a drawing of a little fellow with a bushy mustache and top hat. Won’t the kids be surprised when they get slapped with the tax bill for a big chunk of our anemic-but-not-officially-a-recession GDP? I’m sure we’ll all have a good laugh about it.
    The danger zone would be for things to pick enough for the Federal Reserve to discontinue its bond-buying stimulus spending spree – which has been pumping a lot of money into Wall Street, in a process that would be denounced as “trickle-down economics” if it wasn’t authorized by a Democrat – but not enough to survive the resulting sugar crash. The notion of anyone talking about “recovery” when a stimulus program of large-scale federal bond-buying is still in effect seems dishonest to me, but that’s the world we live in.
    Besides, if the government and media are honest about how weak the economy is, people will freak out, and the economy will get weaker. So remain poised and keep waiting for Recovery. She’ll be here any day now.
