Illegal immigrants worsen meltdown

I wish to express my views on our economy and immigration. I am just an average American.

I realize how complicated the matters of economics are. It just seems to me that no stimulus package will help if we don't make permanent jobs for people. We need to bring back our manufacturing.

Even phone service and computer jobs have been outsourced. When we are told we need to retrain, I ask, retrain for what?

Manufacturing provided millions of people a good living.

The second problem of illegal immigration needs to be addressed. Let me state at the outset I'm not against legal immigration. My grandparents were immigrants. They were, however, legal, learned English, and became citizens.

The influx of so many illegals is also straining the economy. It is costing our government millions in services. I believe all illegals should be sent home.

Also you should not be a citizen of America just by being born here. You should be a citizen only if your parents are citizens or become citizens. Then a fair and legal process should be started to allow legal immigration.

It should include peoples from all over the world. These immigrants should want to learn English and become citizens in a timely fashion. We need people who immigrate here to truly want to become Americans, as my grandparents did.

I believe we have a moral responsibility to help as many people as we can. These people, however, must also have to accept the responsibilities of being American. To me it is a travesty to allow illegals all our benefits, while citizens who have had family members fight and die for this country are jobless.

Between exported jobs and imported workers how does anyone expect to put Americans back to work and fix the economy?

I'm sure I don't know.

Heck, I'm still trying to figure out how it creates jobs by allowing a never ending flow of illegal aliens and legal immigrants into this country.

That's the inane contention we're always hearing and, personally, I just don't see it

Yep ... time to change the formula back to what it's supposed to be:

Amernomics:

JOBS IN (Protected Trade) + PEOPLE OUT (Enforce Immigration Law) = Prosperous Nation.

Prosperous Nation + FairTax = Always Prosperous Nation.
