IN: We need to draw line on illegal immigration

We need to draw line on illegal immigration
I am in favor of Senate Bill 335 authored by Sen. Mike Delph. Unless this bill specifically targets Hispanics, why has Mary Jane Gonzalez taken such a defensive stance? Does this mean she and the Indiana State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce believe Hispanics are the primary offenders? Why is this organization condoning illegal activities of anyone and if they are already beginning to "see folks flee," these folks must be aware of the fact that they are breaking the law. How and where do we draw the line regarding allowing lawbreakers to overtly continue to be aided and abetted by those who hire illegals without checking their documentation? American citizens must produce legal identification to cash checks, use credit cards, qualify for senior discounts, and countless other activities. As a senior citizen and resident of this city, I find not requiring proper status documentation to be discrimination against myself and other American citizens.
All illegal actions must be stopped and lawbreakers must be made to answer for committing crimes, whether misdemeanor or felony level.

We recently had a new hire where I work. I am being trained as a manager and so I was asked to sign off on the person's I-9 form (view identification, make copies, sign that I actually saw an examined the documents). Well, the person had NJ photo ID. The second ID was an application to replace resident alien card. While reading over the form, I found it said it would take almost 2 years for the app to be processed. The app was filed in 2004. It's now 2008!!! HHmmm... something's not right.
I got my manager and showed her the problem. She called the new hire and told her we need her social security card (or other proof of her eligibility to work in the United States.)
We never saw the new hire again.
It's really NOT hard to tell if someone's here legally, usually. I am a brand new Assistant Manager and I caught it. The excuses presented by pro-illegals just don't cut it, especially when the company has an entire HR department. It's all excuses!!The flag flies at half-mast out of grief for the death of my beautiful, formerly-free America. May God have mercy on your souls.
