I've been advocating that for awhile. Vote based on the candidate's views on those subjects and NOT based on political party!

Not only national elections, though. State elections should be approached that way too, since good candidates who get elected can then pass good laws at the state level, as some states already have started to do, like Georgia.

Right! We need to, "agree to disagree," on those other divisive subjects and deal with them after we fix this gigantic problem. This should take top priority!

Yep, and we especially need unity on these issues in states like Texas where huge numbers of illegals have swelled the pro-immigration ranks at the ballot box. We now have to win by supermajorities because the other side has a 10-20% head start with illegal votes.
