One-Third of Trump Supporters Say Won't Back Another Republican Candidate

One-Third of Trump Supporters Say Won't Back Another Republican Candidate

    By Daniel Politi

In a poll that shows the trouble that could lie ahead for the GOP leadership, 34 percent of Republicans who support Donald Trump’s candidacy say they won’t vote for another party candidate if he is denied the nomination at a contested convention.

Although the Reuters/Ipsos poll showed that 66 percent of Trump supporters would vote for the Republican nominee regardless. The others all say they will do something else, with 11 percent saying they will support a third party candidate, six percent won’t vote and four percent will vote Democratic. "If it’s a close election, this is devastating news" for the Republicans, said Donald Green, an expert on election turnout at Columbia University.

Regardless of what they do on Election Day though, 16 percent of Trump supporters say they will leave the Republican Party if someone else gets the nomination even though the real estate magnate has the most delegates.

The latest AP-GfK poll, meanwhile, shows that Trump’s unfavorable ratings stand at a whopping 69 percent. Hillary Clinton isn’t doing much better, with 55 percent of Americans saying they have a negative opinion of the Democratic frontrunner. “The negative feelings for both are a harbinger of a general election contest that's shaping up to be less about voters supporting the candidate of their choice, and more about their picking the one they dislike the least,” notes the Associated Press.

After the Democratic caucus in Wyoming today, which Bernie Sanders is expected to win, it seems both Trump and Hillary will continue amassing delegates in New York on April 19. An Emerson College Polling Society survey found Trump had a 34-point lead over Ted Cruz in New York. Although his advantage is huge, it is eight points lower than it was in mid-March.

Hillary Clinton has also lost some of her advantage in New York recently. The former New York senator is still leading with 56 percent to Bernie Sanders’ 38 percent, according to an Emerson College poll. But that is a far cry from the 48-point lead Clinton enjoyed in March.

I won't leave the Republican Party, but I won't vote for the alternative to Trump, which I guess puts me in the 34% group. I think people were kind in their survey and by the time this all actually hits home if Trump is denied the nomination at the Convention by the delegates, there will be a lot more than 34% who will not vote for the nominee.

It's such a sad state of affairs. We have this most wonderful front-runner, the best candidate to fix our country that we've ever had and so many so-called Establishment and Conservative Republicans are trying to tear him down, to gain what? Lindsey Graham who was totally and completely REJECTED as a leader? Mitt Romney who lost his chance to be Prezidente? Charlie Sykes, the Wisconsin radio guy who is on his third wife, who hates Trump without a reason, supported Cruz to defeat Trump and wants Paul Ryan, Mr. open borders and free trade treason?!! We're allowing losers who can't win because they're all globalists no one wants dictate our candidates to further the demise of our nation and destroy all of our lives? Really?!

This is the epitome of my Period of Ironies and Opposites.

Somebody's selling some really bad KOOL-AID.

I am certainly convinced it will be far worse for the GOP if the process is not fair and transparent.

Donald Trump I've met a lot of people in life and I have found it best to form opinions about them by actually meeting them in person. In 2009 I agreed to do that tv show Celebrity Apprentice on NBC. This meant I had to move to NYC for 6 weeks and spend every day with Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Don Jr. I really had no expectations. I think I was actually the only "Celebrity" that had a semi normal manual labor job. I think this gave me a very different perspective on things. I actually think Donald Trump had no idea who I was or what I actually did for a living. Over the next month I was able to observe him and his kids in their day to day routine. What I saw was a person that treated everyone with respect. Even the (Hispanic) guys in the mail room. He had coffee from the coffee machine and BS'd with them every single morning. Trash men and cops would stop him on the street and he would stop whatever he was doing and spend a little bit of time with every one of them. As the month went on I used my hard work and perseverance to gain respect of the Trumps and most everyone around me. I made it all the way to the top 3 and when I was let go Donald Trump stood up and shook my hand and said " Great Job Jesse". Now I know that a lot of you will think that is some dumb reality TV show, not real life...and especially Not the presidency. Trust me I know that is very true, but the majority of the Anti-Trumps are basing their opinion of him on sound bites from that very same Reality TV Show. I think you should look above what the TV Network put out there to boost ratings. Nobody wants to watch somebody be a nice guy, they want to see him say "Your FIRED!". What I personally observed is a man that is perfect suited to run this country. He is respectful to the little guy (which shows he worked hard to get where he is) and he is also tough as nails when he needs to be. ..........Continued in Next post-->

Part 2.......The people he will appoint to key top positions will be top shelf, and you can bank if they don't perform? They will get the boot. Lastly the best quality I observed about Donald Trump is being a dad. This is by far his strongest quality. Ivanka is an super smart, driven woman. The shakes your hand firm and looks you in the eye when she talks to you. Donald Jr. Also has the same smarts and drive, but is also a pretty regular guy that has a "almost" restored 69' Camaro and loves to long range shoot ( don't let anyone know I told you that). The poise in these two shows a lot in their parents. I think we are lucky to have his kids as part of the deal. So before you guys react to what I have written here. One thing you know about me is Good or bad I will always tell it like it is. This guy is the Real Deal, and will Make America Great Again. Thanks for reading. #jessejames

That is a really nice endorsement. Thanks European Knight for posting it. I posted the full statement from an article that printed the whole instagram message.
