Thread: One Vote From Tragedy - One Vote From Victory

I was posting on another thread tonight and it occurred to me that this fight is very very close.

In fact, a win for them or for us might come down to just ONE VOTE.

The country that we have all grown up in, the country that we want our children and grandchildren to grow up in could be saved or lost by one vote.

The real problem is that we don't know who that one vote might be.
It might be someone we are sure we can count on. It might be someone we hadn't even considered a possibility.

The vote that will change or save the destiny of America might be a last minute decision. It might be a wavering Senator who is conflicted between doing what will benefit him and what will benefit America.

And so we are all living right now on a razors edge.

We might be tired. We might be weary. They are tired and weary too.
This is a battle of wills and a battle of conscious.

There are many things we can do.

Some of us will pray, those who believe that that will help.
Some of us will call with an anger and righteous indignation.
Some of us will email and fax with an insistent buzz.
Some of us will enter the homes of millions on the radio.

And never knowing it was a defining moment in the fate of our country, one of us will tip the balance. Be it us or them.

Someone will make that final appeal.
Someone will tip that final vote.
Someone will cast that final vote.

And History will be made.

So we cannot rest.
We cannot retreat.
We cannot be complacent even for a moment.

Because we never know who will make the final compelling appeal that will cause the final vote that may be the

ONE VOTE

that changes everything.
