Please post this again tomorrow, so we can all call.

I started to make calls but them was told to call back tomorrow after 9 am. Saw this post to late.

A slogan I have been using is: If WE don't work, YOU don't work, in other words if they allow Mexican trucks to come in and take our jobs, American workers won't be able to pay taxes, etc.

It's terrible that we have to use verbage like that but they don't seem to care about us, all that matters to them is money, power and regaining their politcial position.

I am with you 100 percent, no, 3,000 percent! I will write something tonight to email and will start calling in the morning.
The best thing we can do is cancel NAFTA and jackhammer the Trans-Texas Highway.
I get really uncomfortable when all I see in the rear view mirror is a tractor-trailer grill, but at least I know those trucks have American drivers and their trucks undergo rigorous inspection.

OOIDA National Call to Action – NAFTA

    ~ URGENT ~

President Obama and officials in his Administration need to hear from you TODAY!
This Sunday (August 9) President Obama will be travelling to the city of Guadalajara in Mexico to meet with Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper on matters related to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

A Mexican official told Reuters news service last night that Calderon plans to pressure President Obama to move forward with opening U.S. roads to Mexico-domiciled trucking companies and truck drivers.

Recent statements by Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk and other officials indicate that the Administration is already on the verge of giving in to pressure from Mexico and the multi-national corporations behind the push for Mexican trucks in the U.S.

President Obama and officials in his Administration need to hear from you, your family members and your fellow truckers as none of the safety or security issues have been resolved on either side of the border!
