Opinions on donations via credit card vs paypal
Friends,
When we started ALIPAC many years ago, there was a distinct difference between Paypal and Credit card/debit card donations.
To this day, we offer our donors both options. Paypal takes a small percentage out of each donation made as do the credit/debit card companies.
One major difference is that the credit card companies also charge us monthly fees, and we have to pay a monthly fee and cut to a processor, and we pay around $150 per year for the security certificate needed for safe credit card donations.
These days, Paypal lets you transfer funds via a credit card, debit card, or bank account if you do not have a Paypal account.
Do any of you have any opinions on Paypal vs. credit card donations?
We could save a great deal of funds if we switch to just paypal, but we do not want to lose or discourage any donors.
Would switching to just Paypal, which now accepts credit cards, bother or dissuade anyone ya think?
