Letter: Backdoor amnesty

Posted August 22, 2011 at midnight

The actions of the administration put our Constitution in peril. We are a nation of laws and no one branch of government should be able to pick and choose the laws it elects to enforce.

Congress must stop the president from allowing 300,000 or more who are in the country illegally from getting work permits, which is amnesty.

With unemployment at a modern-day high, we should not be rewarding those who are in the U.S. illegally, at the expense of Americans looking for work, or getting an education.

This confirms how out of touch the administration is.
