Another way to get what we want

Instead of just concentrating the immigration factor we need to put our efforts into making sure this president enforces our constitution and laws put into place by the people. We need to organize more on this effort. And the immigration laws will fall under this. I copied and pasted this from an ALIPAC article. (Your oath of office and the US Constitution requires you to enforce the existing immigration laws passed by Congress, regardless of your personal views. The current laws state that the borders are to be secured, illegal aliens are to be sent home, and employers who hire illegal aliens are to be fined or imprisoned. Today's news reports make it clear that very few of these laws are being enforced.)

    Thank you Bob.

Americans need to understand that most of the suffering in our nation today is the direct result of the loss of the self governance assured by the Constitution.

If American citizens were steering our own nation, then over 80% of us would not feel our nation was headed in the wrong direction.

SO true, the voice of WE the PEOPLE needs to be listened to by those who are supposed to be representing us. They do not listen to us, they tread on us.

If we could form another group that would focus on the enforcing our constitution and enforcing our laws the immigration laws would be included and we could gain our goal or goals of no more amnesty. Also by focusing on our laws and constitution we would be seen as more patriotic and not haters (and I do not think any of you are haters but this is how the illegals want it to be seen) William, I have been lurking your forum for some 3.5 years now and would you say it would be a good time to change strategy??

Ha ha, good luck trying to convince Obama to enforce immigration laws, when even Bush wouldn't do it. I think rather than trying to convince the Libs in government to enforce immigration laws, we should ORGANIZE LOCALY. You know, on grass-roots level.

Here are some things we can do localy:
    1) Demonstrations and rallies
    2) Organize boycotts of businesses that make you press 1 for English or employ illegals
    3) Promoting Alipac and other anti-illegal groups with flyers and banners

Too bad we can't sue the Pres. to force him to follow the laws!

You are somewhat missing the point. Possibly a law firm should get involved to help us through the courts. In other words force the lawmakers to follow the laws.

I'm afraid that's a political, not legal question. You can't sue Obama or ICE for non-enforcement of laws. The only remedy people have for that are impeachment and demonstrations. And in Dems-controlled Congress, impeachment is out of question, so what we're left with is what I suggested.
