Last week’s ruling by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta on Alabama’s immigration law settled nothing permanently.
It put things into a holding pattern that could last for months, as the legal fight over the law continues.
We welcome that, just as a chance for everyone to take a breath, although we realize it’s unlikely the temperature of this debate will be cooled.

It would be hilarious if not so tragic that the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals has put a hold on the right of states to require compliance with federal law that requires immigrants to carry their papers and documents.
How can the "constitutionality" of a state law that requires people within that state to comply with an already existing federal law that requires immigrants to carry their immigration papers and documents be in question?!A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan
