Being silly....

Dig a moat, relocate the over population of Floridas gators, use dirt from moat to fill in New Orleans.

You know, I know you are joking but it reminded me about how this country used to actually do great projects like that. It's sad that between the enviro-wackos and the population's complaceny, we don't have the will to do great things. I saw a show about the Golden Gate and I couldn't help thinking that we'd never build something like that now. And forget about doing something like Hoover Dam.
If we are going to keep New Orleans (and we will), we should spend the money and do it right and safe.
Maybe the Minutemen should donate their dirt from their fence project.
