    China and India and illegals....

Too many Americans just don't understand what is going on in America. Invest in China and India and raise their standard of living with your American wealth. Food and oil...for them and you pay more. Whirpool, GM, Ford, GE, etc etc invest there and not here. So they, China and India, have more wealth to compete with you for food and oil and everything else.

We won world war two and we are givng the victory back!

Microsoft, GE, etc etc heck they don't care about America. Only themselves......

Things are going to get better for a few and the rest of us? Maybe I will be wrong? I hope I am.

Throw in 20 to 30 million illegals to boot. Cheap labor here and there. Double whamy!

Pay $6 for a gallon of gas so some Chinese fellow can get a car. Let us ride bicycles like the Chinese used to do? Clean the air says Al Gore. The guy that could not win his home state in 2000.

Obama, Clinton and McCain NO! We need a NATIONALIST candidate.

China and India? The excuse for everything?

BTW We fought a war with China in Korea. Why do we do anything with them? Cheap labor for Wal-mart goods among other things...

Thanks Bill Gates for recently investing 2BN in India. Thanks Whirpool for new plants in Mexico! Thanks Boeing for outsourcing 70% of your new 787. et al......

Good for America said both Clinton and Bush!

    Oh another neo merc

It would be better if the investments were in Mexico as fewer illegal aliens would come here.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Good pts Alipacdude and Phred. I heard on the radio this morning (KOGO, San Diego) that the combined oil consumption of India and China exceeds that of the US.

I just know I'm tiring of hearing "if the American consumers would cut back on gas consumption....our cost would go down". Then 5 minutes later say the cost is going up because of increased demand in China and India and a pipe blown up in Africa..

You can't keep preaching about "living within your means" and "personal responsibility" and "budgets" when we are at the mercy of every rich business person who sends our jobs overseas or because another country is now enjoying some freedoms and expect us to still fund it all.

They say the average middle-income Chinese people are able to save 50% of their income. When's the last decade an American could say that? All we seem to get are minimum wage jobs now and they used to say 1/3 of your income was rent. Add it up and then find a place to live. Not to mention just basic utilities (gas, electric and water) many times equal to that....forget food, clothing and medical. I don't know what prices are in China and India....and I certainly don't begrudge them a "better life"....but now that they have their own money..and their cost of living is alot cheaper than ours......spread the expense around. We can't keep going on wealth vs poverty in totally different monitary amounts and standards and laws.....and keep going like this. All it's doing is robbing peter to pay paul and instead of the UNICEF poster child being from Africa or India, it's the US or somewhere else. It's not fixing anything....it's just shifting the problem and creating new ones.

I feel like we're playing some global game....but we're playing monopoly and they're playing checkers, shoots and latters, poker, and somehow a winner or even playing field is supposed to come out of it. Makes no sense to me. Can't go global if there aren't the same rules and standards across the board.

At my job for the second half of 2007, our foreman, a solid labor/liberal type was bemoaning that President Bush and the war in Iraq was responsible for the rising gasoline prices. He would have probably gotten away with convincing everyone--as apparently at least half of the country believes--but I stated that economic analysts attribute that rise to strong worldwide economic demand. Nonetheless candidates like Obama will use this misinformation to advance their agenda.

The rapid industrialization in China, and next India, is creating a new urban culture. I think we have to admire the fact that they are conserving land and preparing the way for a new culture that should be much less reliant on automobiles than ours. This year the World Urban Forum is being held in China (Yes, it is a UN program). I went to it in 2006 when it was held in British Columbia. I think we have to acknowledge that there is a role for a 'collective' approach to dealing with these kinds of issues. American businesses, OTOH, that expand into China probably have little concern about housing or environmental or urban development issues; they're just looking for cheap labor.

RICHARD, why are in in this Alipac forum? I do not know how many times I have now listened to you try and tell us how good investment is in Mexico? Do you work in export import with Mexico? Well do you Richard? You think loss of US jobs is good Richard?

Richard, if investment in Mexico was so good then why have so many illegals come here since NAFTA? Because all that invested money in Mexico has not risen wages in Mexico and that corrupted worthless government has spent little on education and health care for its people.

What is your purpose in Alipac Richard? Because most folks here see the connect between so called free trade and open borders and loss of national sovereignty.

Yes, Richard, second time you have called me a Neo-mercantilist. I have no trouble with trade with CANADA or GERMANY where peoople live well but if things were getting better in Mexico 14 years after NAFTA then why are they still coming HERE Richard.

Maybe a better place for you Richard would be the US Chamber of Commerce website or the US Department of Commerce ovverseas trade site? The love these free trade aagreements as you seem to do?

Perhas you need to lose YOUR job to Mexico, China or India Richard?

Invest more in Mexico FOR CRYING OUT LOUD HILARIOUS!

I ask the same.....is it not "fair" till all minorities are 100% rich? I'm hearing racism because ALL blacks aren't rich and wealthy....yet in no time in the history of the world were ALL white people RICH!!!!!!

I say this to any and all non-white people.......we the white people have lived in poverty as well...many of us are no better than you. We were SLAVES long before we even knew there were people of color.

We didn't get slaves the minute we discovered black people. Many white people were slaves long before we even knew you existed.

Back in the SLAVE days,,,,that would cover anyone from NANNY to LANDSCAPER!!!!! Maid, housekeeper to CNA. Buss boy to Dishwasher. Day care worker to home health care assistant.

OHHHH....give you a title and suddenly you are important?

Seriously.....think about that. A ****** mama, wet nurse, (using old language) was nothing more or less than a baby sitter or nanny. Woo...get a fancy name....doing the same thing and you are BETTER now?

    ****** mama was a slave but an au'pare isn't?

    Cotton picker was a slave....but a landscaping architect isn't?

Maid, hotel housekeeper, janitor, gardner, domestic goddess.....doing the same job but your better?

Prostitute, hooker, whore, fantasy person, slut, professional sex goddess, Geisue girls...Ok as long as it's a white person doing it....but not when it's a minority?

You either are abused or not....a slave or just a worker....color doesn't change it.

Huh? The US consumes twice as much oil as China and India combined. Further, thanks to outsourcing manufacturing to China, much of their consumption is US consumption by proxy. All of those cheap imports that find their way to the US require oil to produce and transport.

    Top oil consumers
