Tea Party protestors (and I am one of them up to now) have been called all kinds of vile names from Nazis to racists to astroturf. And this woman is worried about offending true criminal invaders? Not only is that not an excuse, its not even logical.

By the way, Wayneman, a hearty HOORAH from a former Army nurse.

Just left TPP rally; everyone (there were plenty) in the hall took turns introducing "ourselves." (this was after taking the Pledge of Allegiance!)

As promised, when my turn came, I raised my hand and said, :My name is >>>>>>> >>>>>>> and I'm a California native. I believe in The Constitution of the United States and I'm against amnesty for illegal aliens." Period.

I got one of the loudest rounds of applause in the room; including a hoorah (there were a lot of military and ex-military there, inc. myself.)

One lady (dressed in red, white, and blue) was passing out Neretelli (something like that) for governor brochures. I read what it said re: immigration, "We need to protect our borders, we need to protect "legal" aliens.........I stopped reading and asked what was his position on amnesty? she replied, "I could find out by driving to a town hall meeting in the Capitol." I said, "Why do I have to drive to the Capital to find out his position on amnesty?" she said, "he was being careful not to offend anyone." I said anyone like who, illegal aliens?" she said, "Well some people have friends that are illegal aliens."

I shredded the brochure in half "right in front of her" and threw it on he floor. (in front of her as she was walking away)

p.s. will try to explain TPP position (The Constitution) when i've had more rest. I think, there may be more to this (lack of position on immigration) than meets the eye.

BUT, I SWEAR TO YOU ON MY GRANDMOTHERS......no i won't go that far, but I have, to the best of my knowledge, never lied to "you," AND I PROMISE DUE DILIGENCE ON MY PART TO GET AHEAD OF THIS ISSUE.

AFTER ALL, I'M THE ONE LIVING AND WORKING IN A DESIGNATED HISPANIC GANG ZONE. (no, I won't name names; I would like very much to wake up in the morning) thank you very much.

P.S.S. GeorgiaPeach, you had me so fired up, i was practically breathing "fire and brimstone." (whatever that is.)

Good for you, wayneman, and thanks so much for your statement at the TPP event. The big round of applause indicates clearly to me that the grassroots members of the movement want to stop illegal immigration like most Americans, and that there's just a disconnect between them and the leadership worried about "offending" illegal aliens who shouldn't be in our country to begin with let alone have Americans terrorized into silence for fear of "offending" an illegal invader.

I still hope the Tea Party Movement will at least take a stand with us, if not on their issues statement, at the polls on November 2, 2010.

Re: Part of the blame will lie on the Tea Party

I read somewhere that the government says there are around 15 million people here illegally. They are wrong. I think here in the Houston area we have more than that alone. And I am not exaggerating. Could you imagine how many is really here?
Have any of you heard of a group called you don't speak for me? A few years ago they were actively against amnesty. I have emailed them numerous times lately and I have not received a response back.
Why has not Pastor Stephen Broden who is running for office taken this bull by the horns?
As for Palin, fighting amnesty is not on her agenda.

We really need hispanic groups who are against amnesty to take a stand.

[quote="agrneydgrl"]When I have been to some teaparty events, when illegal immigration is brought up, there are strong applause. You have to remember also, that most Mexicans don't want to become citizens. They probably will have a tought time getting them to vote. They don't care about the US.[/quot

Oh, I think they will vote, big time. They know a free ride when they
    see it.
