Pelosi: We Must Defend The Constitution By Passing Gun Control Laws

Nancy Pelosi noted in a recent press release that it is her oath to “protect and defend” the constitution.

She said “We must uphold our oath to ‘protect and defend’ the constitution and all Americans by expanding background checks and keeping dangerous firearms out of the wrong hands.”

Many question whether she is defending the constitution or violating it. In an interview with CNSNews, director of Gun Owners for America Erich Pratt said ” “I wonder which country’s constitution she is referring to, because ours clearly makes no allowances for gun control,”

Pratt also noted the amendment that Pelosi swore to defend is meant to lessen government attempts at gun control, not a reason to enforce it.

Ironically, the idea to “protect and defend” the constitution Pelosi cited as her reason to enforce gun control is not something found in any oath she took. She is mistaken for the Oath taken by the president.

Does Pelosi think she is fooling anyone?
